The Institution was lonely tonight like most nights, but for some reason Alec felt exceptionally cold and alone needing something there to warm him up. He reached for his phone getting ready to call Magnus to see if he could go over before remembering that they had not been talking recently. They weren't officially broken up, but both boys knew that was exactly what they were. No longer a couple. Adios Amigos never talking to you again. Broken up. Alec hadn't thought about the reality of it all yet but he began to and he immediately regretted it. He felt a cold stream rushing down his face and it felt as if it would never end. Soon Izzy came in to check on him as she has been since the fight and all she saw was an upset Alec on the floor with blood streaming from his fists and a puddle on the floor. Izzy looked at the walls and noticed holes about the size of fists in them.

"Oh Alec I'm so sorry." The young Lightwood girl went over to hug her elder brother, but he resisted. Izzy took that as sign to leave, so she bid farewell to her brother and exited his room making sure to close the door. The moment she left Alec broke down again silently crying with only one thought in his mind Magnus.

The next morning Alec felt like Crap. He had gotten no sleep his eyes were read and puffy all he wanted to do was call Magnus and fix this, but he knew it wouldn't do any good. The Warlock probably had something better to do anyways. He needed something productive to do maybe a hobby to begin passing the time, that wasn't fighting if that was even possible. Alec began thinking of things he was good at crying came up quite a bit in his thoughts, so his plan to get a new hobby was obviously not working. His next option was tongo see if Jace needed help with anything wether it be relationship issues or cleaning weapons he didn't care he needed something to do in order to get his mind off of Magnus. With how Alec's day was going he wasn't surprised that Jace didn't need any help at all with anything neither did Izzy or Clary. Alec just needed something to do. Clary, Izzy, and Jace had all suggested that he get some sleep, so he obeyed their request and headed back up to his room.

Once asleep Alec could no longer control his thoughts or emotions. He was angry, then sad, then happy, then relieved, then hopeful, then angry again. The only thing these emotions had in common was that they all had to do with Magnus Bane high warlock of Brooklyn.

Magnus Bane had not slept or eaten in days the warlock hadn't even put on glitter I mean he was in sweatpants for God's sake. He was worried sick about Alec he had not heard a thing from him about anyone since the fight. Magnus didn't think Alec would take it like this it was one stupid remark that he should've never even thought. It was terrible and he would never live it down. Magnus just hoped that Alec was alright he wanted to call, but he didn't want to face the wrath of Alec Lightwood when the other end answered. Magnus thought of calling Jace or Clary in order to get information but instead called Izzy since she was his younger sister.

He  grabbed his phone and nervously typed in the young Lightwood'a number. It rang four times before she picked up with an unamused tone.
"What do you want Warlock?" Izzy was in no mood for any of Magnus' games, but the Warlock was fully aware that he deserved this harsh tone.
"I just wanted to make sure that Alec was okay. I haven't heard anything from him or about him since the fight."
"Alec is fine physically, but no so much mentally he didn't get any sleep last night. He was crying, no wait, sobbing and there was blood streaming from his palms I've barely heard him talk to me or Jace or anyone for the matter since whatever happened between you to and to top it all off he hasn't been training or going on missions. It's like Alec isn't Alec, he's another person."
"Izzy I need to talk to him I need to make things right."
"No you don't you need to let him cope and move on. Sure I would love to see you to back together, but honestly with the way he's acting I don't think that's going to happen. Sorry to burst your bubble."
"No, no, it's fine you're completely right I need to let him go." There was disappointment laced through his voice but with every word that he struggled to get out it tore through and the tears began to come.
"I've got to go Magnus I'll let you know if anything changes with him for better or for worse."
"Thank you Isabelle." Magnus hung up and began to sob he had never felt like this before. He had never cared so much about someone then be so stupid to loose them with one snarky remark. Magnus walked to the bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror. Suddenly a burst of anger slipped though his sadness and he punched the glass letting it shatter before him.
