Who is Liza Jones?

She is a carefree young woman who loves to dance and mostly sing. She has a brother named Tristan Jones in 1st year college. They're not that close due to family problems but their mother is a loving one. Their dad, who is a businessman, is a drunkard. Despite all her problems, Liza is brave, kind, and beautiful. Liza's POV

I woke up this morning having a bad headache. This is what I get for sleeping late.

School has been very tiring during the 3rd week of July. The teachers have been giving the students lots of assignments and projects, but thinking of my new friends who will always help me no matter what has given me the boost to get up and start my day.

My friends have been there for me ever since the sleepover last 2 weeks ago. I admit, it's awesome being around them.

After prepping myself for today, I went downstairs to eat breakfast. I found my mom in the kitchen. She was cleaning the counter and my brother Tristan, was already eating breakfast.

Morning. I greeted. My mom smiled but my brother just scoffed.

Come eat your breakfast, darling. My mom said.

Sure. Where is dad? I asked.

He's still sleeping. My mom said frowning. Um, he's been-

-drinking. Again. My brother finished.

Oh. I silently said to myself. I thought he's been controlling that already. I said.

Unfortunately, he's not. My mom said sadly.

You should eat now, Liza. I don't want to be late because of you. Trsitan suddenly hissed.

Who are you to boss me around? And excuse me, you're sitting in my place. I almost shouted, pointing at the chair he was sitting on where I always stay during meals.

I got here first! Tristan said, now shouting in his deep voice.

Children, enough! Can you please stop fighting? That can really help us out here. My mom said.

Yes mom, I'm sorry. I told her as I sat down in front of my brother to eat breakfast.

Tristan is not the brother I always wanted. He never acted like one. He starts the fight and I always end it. He doesn't even say sorry.

Jerk. I murmered to myself as he got up from the dining table and left the house for school without even saying goodbye to mom. He didn't even wait for me.

Don't mind him, sweetie. My mom said. He will love you like a brother when he realizes it. He just needs more love, more love from your dad, to be specific.

I know mom. I said as I ate, I know.

The students of the Grade 12 class were now groaning after hearing another bad news from Miss Avery.

Come on guys, it's just a little project. Miss Avery assured. I promise you, it's gonna be fun.

My classmates groaned in unison again.
