I had this one friend, one night we spent overnight somewhere along the west coast of peninsular Malaysia, talking and talk all night long, with just a bon fire, cold pizzas and a big bottle of Mauntain Dew.
We are 17 that time, doing our foundation and secretly escaping that hell just for a day. We need to find ourself. We talked about future, things we want to do in our life and how many children we wanted and how we going to stay being friends until our old days.
Its funny to think how we think we are a grown up that time, and this friend smoke. This one friend smoke a whole pack that night, or maybe two, I forgot but the cigarette smelt like chocolate. I know its harmful but, I kind of enjoying the smell.
During sunrise, that one friend said something i will remember for my whole life. That one friend said, "Daniel, this is my last one ever, and I thank god for you, lets be friend forever". The thing is, human change. Promise will be left as a promise. How much sweet you think a situation is, dont get too attached to it. Because if you do, you will get hurt. This one friend, smoke the next one in a car 20 minutes after the promise was made.
My point is, some promise are made without a will to hold it. Be sure you can differenciate these. It two five life lessons here if you could extract it. One of them; in case you didnt have a chance to catch it, when you feel down go for a quick escape for yourself and live a little. Curi curi keluar, eat a pizzas and drink a mountain dew with a friend.
The others? I let you to figure it out. Thank you for reading.
