C'mon c'mon, I thought as I urged the clock to turn to the 55' so the bell could finally ring. It was the last hour if the day not to mention the last day of school before summer started.
I wasn't the only one silently begging for the shrill bell to ring almost half of the class was staring at the ultra slow clock. The teacher gave us an amused smile taking pleasure in our treacherous wait. I would of read my book to help the time pass but I was far too anxious for that. So I was left fidgeting instead.
Finally FINALLY the sweet sound of the bell rang along with the principal giving all the pleasantries about having a great year yadda yadda yadda.
"YES", Byron the class clown yells jumping up as we are dismissed.
The students including myself all rush out if the stuffy classroom and into the overfilled hallway that was filled with pimpled teens, jocks, cheerleaders, and all other cliques you could think of.
I quickly dodged the students and went to my locker to grab the remaining things in it. I grab my things and once again have to squeeze through people to exit the jail house we call school.
I was tall but somehow I could dodge people better than most. But it helped I wasn't carrying a lot and I had a slim/curvy figure.
Once I got outside I swore under my breath, "Damn it's raining". I actually loved the rain but when you had bangs and had to drive home with them wet and hanging in your eyes it was very dangerous.
I covered my butterscotch colored bangs and hair with my book bag and took off towards my big red battered truck. I hopped in the drivers seat and tossed my bag in the back. I quickly checked the mirror.
Perfect not one single hair wet, I thought to myself.
I then put the key in the ignition and backed out if the parking lot and into the road. My stormy grey blue eyes searched the road in front of my for any reckless cars.
It had become a habit to do so since my dad died in a car crash from a drunk driver. I became sad for a moment but I usually tried to not think of such things. My motto was to always stay positive.
I arrived at the condos and parked my truck. I once again used my back pack as an umbrella and ran inside. I smiled at the front desk lady and rode the elevator to my condo. Once inside I threw my backpack on the kitchen table and flopped down lazily on the leather sofa.
I lived alone in my condo. I've lived alone since last year when my dad died as you already know. My mom where was she? Well I was a miracle baby. My mom died a week before I was due by getting shot and the doctors were able to save me but not her. I missed my dad but I wasn't sad that my parents are dead. They're in a better place probably looking down in me right now. I smiled at the thought and silently waved just in case they were watching. I was weird like that.
I plugged in my earphones and started to scroll through my long list of music. I was about to pick one of my favorites when all of a sudden the room filled with an eerie purple light. I pulled my earbuds out if my ear and once the glow faded I saw in front of me two men.
"Who are you", I ask.
"I'm Britain and this is Japan", Britain says.
Well those are interesting names."We are countries", Britain says as if that would explain everything.
"Countries", I question thinking I must of misunderstood him because of his ironic heavy English accent.
"Yes countries and your one too", Japan says.
"Uh huh", I say thinking they've gone around the bend if you know what I mean.
"We are from a different dimension", England says awkwardly.
"Oh really", I say.
"Rearry", Japan says seriously.
"Okay then what country am I", I muse.
"Moldova, now come on so we can get back the other countries will be worried", England says anxiously.
I get up pretending to go with them but instead I grab my candle lighter from the coffee table and threateningly click it open so the flame shines brightly.
"No way. Now where are you really from", I ask.
"You have to believe us", Britain says exasperated.
"I don't have to do anything now if you don't tell me the truth then I will call the police or burn this condo down", I threaten.
"Wait. Risen we are terring the truth", Japan says.
"Prove it", I say.
"W-w can't", Japan admits.
"Before this gets any farther are you Natalia Stella Propescu", England asks.
"Yes", I answer truthfully.
"So we do have the right girl", Britain says.
"Wait right girl what do you mean", I ask.
"We can only exprain if you come with us", Japan says.
I look them in the eyes with a look that could make a shark turn into a guppy. They both flinch but I can tell from their eyes that their not lying.
"Fine", I give in.
"Good, now then let's get to work", Britain says rolling up his sleeves and rubbing his hands together excitedly.
He takes Japan's hand and then motions for me to take his. I hesitantly do so. Britain starts to chant some sort of almost like spell and when he's finished chanting we are enveloped in a purple like mist.
My stomach flops and I close my eyes and I feel like were being transported. When the movement stops I open my eyes to blinding daylight. These people must be crazy. They may be crazy but I was insane for actually trusting them.
