I woke up and immediately looked at the wooden clock over the door. It was six o'clock in the morning and the sun shone dazzlingly threw the window. I rubbed my eyes and sat up in the comfortable bed.
I can't believe I'm up this early. Though it's probably because I'm still used to my school morning schedule, I thought to myself.
I got up and went into the door that lead to the room's personal bathroom. I quickly showered and then dried off my hair and body. I then brushed through my long hair and curled my bangs. I wrapped myself in a towel and picked out an outfit from the vanity. I quickly got dressed and looked into the vanity mirror. I was wearing blue skinny jeans, black combat boots, a plain navy blue fitted short sleeved women cut necklined t-shirt, and a black jacket to fend off the cold Russian weather. I head downstairs and try to remember where the kitchen was.
I am able to make it to the kitchen and when I walked in I was surprised. Russia was already seated with his breakfast lain out in front of him.
"Oh good morning Mr. Russia how long have you been up", I ask casually as I take a seat next to the country.
"Four this morning", he answers simply.
Wow that's early
"Why were you up so early if you don't mind me asking", I ask.
"I was training for an hour and a half and then I got ready for the day", he answers.
Ah no wonder he's so strong, He must train every morning
"Vould you like something to eat Miss Natalia", he asks politely.
"No I'll just have a banana from your fruit bowl", I say.
I take a banana from the fruit bowl and unpeal it, and then eat it.
"Gotta have that potassium ya know", I say when I finish eating. Russia chuckles at my attempt to make a joke.
Then things elapse into a semi awkward silence. Soon enough though Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia all come into the kitchen. It didn't help much because they were silent as they ate their totally different breakfasts.
"So Latvia do you go to school", I ask the small country.
"Oh uh school no I was homeschooled", Latvia says nervously.
"How old are you? You look to be only thirteen", I ask.
All the countries look at me in confusion.
"Oh you mean in human years", Estonia says.
"Human years"? I question.
"Us countries age slower than normal people", Estonia explains.
"But I'm a country and I age like a human", I say uber confused.
"Well it's different for every country. For example Latvia here ages slow. Other countries get to an age and then just stop aging", Lithuania says.
"Oh what age do we usually stop aging at", I ask.
"It's usually around seventeen to twenty five", Lithuania says.
My eyes get wide.
"Are we immortal", I ask shocked.
"No no not entirely. It's very difficult to kill a country but it can be done. We really just stop aging", Lithuania says.
"How old are you Miss Natalia", Russia asks speaking for the first time.
"Seventeen", I answer.
"Your probably done aging then", Russia says.
My eyes widen. I was going to look like a teenager forever!
"Are there any humans in this dimension", I ask bewildered.
"Of course there are humans! We have to have someone to control or else we wouldn't be countries", Latvia says.
"What about our bosses are they human", I ask.
"Da they are", Russia says.
"Oh", I say.
The room is quiet for a moment.
"Natalia oh sorry I meant Miss Natalia", Latvia asks shyly.
"No Natalia is fine", I say.
"Okay uh where were you from in your dimension", he asks.
"Wisconsin", I answer.
"In America", Latvia asks bewildered.
Latvia realizes what he just said and the trio look at Russia like he's about to explode.
Russia just sits there with that silly smile of his. But I can see his smile harden at the mention of America. The baltics see this and flinch.
"Yes in America", I say slowly not wanting to anger the Russian because obviously the mention of America annoyed him.
"You don't seem anything like America don't you guys agree", Russia says a bit harshly.
The trio quickly agrees with this. I sigh. I don't think Russia realized how strong and intimidating he was.
"Well Mr. Russia I think I'm going to head over to Moldova to see my country", I say.
"That'll be okay. Do you mind if I join you", Russia asks.
The Baltics look amazed at this.
"No not at all", I say.
Suddenly the phone rings.
"Hello", Russia asks picking up the phone.
"Da here she is", Russia says handing me the phone.
"Hello"? I ask.
"Hiya this Italy", Italy says.
"Yes Italy why did you call", I ask.
As I talk I can see Russia listening.
"Germany and I were a wondering if you'd like to a train today", Italy says with his heavy Italian accent.
"How long is training", I ask.
"Germany Moldova is a wondering how long training will a be", Italy asks Germany.
"Put me on", I hear Germany say with his rough voice.
"Miss Moldova ze training vill take about a couple hours", Germany says.
"Okay than Mr. Germany I'll be there soon. Where will it take place", I ask.
"My house", he answers simply.
He then gives me the instructions to his house.
"Okay thank you I'll be there bye", I say.
"Good bye Miss Moldova", Germany says.
We both hang up the phone.
"Russia how about we postpone going to my country till about an hour after noon or so", I suggest to the Russian.
"Da that would be fine", Russia says.
At that I say goodbye and head over to Germany's house.
