Chapter 7

Clarke's Pov

"This is reckless!" Mike screams at me.

"Watch your tone Mike." Echo warns.

I roll my eyes. "Both of you stop it, this is no time to be fighting one another." I say with a sigh.

"You made an alliance with our enemy!" He screams waving his hands around in the air.

"An alliance that we needed. They agreed to give us food and our people back in return to helping them take down the mountain." I say to him with a stern look

"Without this alliance our people will starve." Echo says.

It's been two days since the commander left. She said that she would bring the grain and meat three days from now.

"What do you two think?" I ask looking at Tom and Lilly

Lilly let's out a sigh then looks at mike.

"The queen is right mike..we need this alliance or are people will starve." She says.

Tom nods his head in agreement. "I agree with Lilly and the queen. This alliance is the best thing for azgada at the moment." He says and I give a nod showing my gratitude.

Mike scuffs at them and then looks at me. "This is a mistake...you will lead us to our downfall."

"Watch yourself." Echo says putting her hand on her sword.

"Enough both of you...we need this alliance and that's the end of it..if you don't respect that then that's fine but you will accept it...do you understand me?" I say

He let's out a sigh but agrees at the end.

"Good then this meeting is over." I say

As everyone walks out Raven let's out a snort.

"Well that went well." She says and I roll my eyes.

"Mike is becoming a problem." I say with a sigh.

Raven snorts again and I raise my eyebrow.

"Did I say something funny?"

"Yeah...yeah the funny thing is that Mike has always been a problem but your just realizing it." She says and I roll my eyes.

"Walk with me?" I ask as I make my way to the doors.

"Alright." She says shrugging her shoulders.

We walk in silence for a few minutes until Raven breaks it. "So when are we going to head to the ark?"

"Tomorrow if everything is ready." I tell her.

"Are you ready to see everyone?" She asks.

"Yeah I guess. I'm sad to say that I really haven't been thinking about them. I'm more worried about the mountain men."

She nods her head.

"I feel that...I'm worried about the mountain men too, I mean they have taken over three hundred of our people in the last six months.

"But why would they do that? What do they need our people for?" I ask her and she shrugs her shoulders.

"Who knows but I'm sure we will find out sooner or later." She says and I nod my head.

"Yeah I guess we will."

"You ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine it's just...I'm thinking about Nia again." I tell her.

She looks down. I let out a sigh regretting telling her already.

"I miss her." She says after a minute of silence.

"Yeah me too Raven...me too."

Flashback

I bring my blade up just in time before Echo's sword can connect to my neck.

"Very good but less blocking and more attacking." She tells me and I nod my head.

"Your getting better each day." She says with a smile.

"I learn quickly." I tell her and she let's out a laugh.

"That you do." I hear from behind me and I turn around to see none other than queen Nia herself.

"Your majesty." I say and she rolls her eyes.

"Clarke how many times must I tell to call me Nia."

I let out a sigh.

"I know I'm sorry but I don't want others to think your favoring me." I tell her.

She laughs at that.

"I'm the queen...I can favor who I want." She tells me with a smirk on her face.

I let out a small chuckle.

"That you are."

"Now where is Raven, I thought she was training today as well?" Nia asks me.

"Well she was but she wanted to play with her toys that you got her." Echo says with a smirk.

Nia let's out a sigh but the whole time having a smile on her face. "She does love her new stuff." She says laughing. I nod my head along. "Of course she does,I mean she really hasn't gotten a chance to make anything go boom lately." I say and both Nia and Echo laugh at that.

"Well I must take her out soon so she can finally make something go boom." Nia tells me and I smile.

"I'm sure she would like that."

"Well I just came by to ask you if you wished to go on a ride with me. I really must get away from this place at least for a little bit." Nia tells me.

I smile at that.

"Yeah I would love that." I tell her and she smiles again.

"Good."

She then turns to Echo.

"Would you like to come with us Echo?"

"Thank you my queen but while you two are out I can be training Raven." She says.

I let out a laugh.

"Yeah well good luck with that."

She laughs along with me.

"Thanks I'm really going to need that." She says then bows to Nia then walks away from the training fields.

I watch her until I can no longer see her. That's when Nia clears her throat and I turn back to see her smirking at me. "What?" I ask her. She just shakes her head.

"Oh nothing....nothing at all."

End of flashback

I let out a happy sigh as I lay on my bed. Today has been a boring day.

I've done nothing but getting ready to leave tomorrow.

After all this time I'm finally going to see my home...my old home that is.

I smile at the thought.

I then think about my mother. Even though I got to see her, we didn't get to talk. Lexa and the others left as soon as we made an alliance. It'll be good to see her again and talk to her. I've missed her very much.

It'll be good to see bellamy too.

I smile at that.

Nothing could go wrong at this point.

That's when someone busts through my doors and I stand up quickly to see
Echo staring at me with fear in her eyes.

Damn it I shouldn't have said shit!

"We have a problem."
