Chapter 6

I wake up to my alarm basting from my phone. It's 9:00 AM just enough time to get ready for Sean and I's 'hangout'. I don't really know what to call it because I don't think it's a date. I'm not even sure if he sees me that way. He could be a flirty guy to everyone so I can't get my hopes up. I spring out of bed and look in the mirror. UGH. I don't look cute. Time for a shower.

I get out of the shower and comb and blow dry my long, dirty-blonde hair. I normally let my hair airdry but I take hour showers so there's no time for that. I quickly straighten my hair and go to my closet. Maybe I should wear something a little sexy.. Nah. Maybe a little flirty? Yes! I chose a crop top that is from Brandy Melville and says " Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It" and some plain high waisted denim shorts. I put on some plain black vans and some bracelets. Don't assume I'm that basic white girl because I don't think I am but what else am I supposed to wear in the summer? Next I put on some foundation, curl my eyelashes, and put on some mascara. I'm not that into makeup on me anyway. I think it's great but I think I look better with out a face full of makeup.

I look and the mirror and think I look decent. I'm not sure it will be Sean's standards but hey it's worth a shot. I'm finished getting ready and look at my phone. It's only 11:30 so I have some time to kill. Maybe I should get some breakfast. I walk out of my room and remember who I live with.. There's Raquel sitting at our breakfast bar in the kitchen eating a pop tart. Jess is sleeping so yay for awkwardness!! She looks at me and we make that really awkward eye contact and I swear I see through her soul of darkness to find satan taking over her body. That's how evil she is. I look away and make my way to the refrigerator and see my almond soy milk gone. I turn around to see a glass of milk in front of Raquel and the empty carton.

"You've got to be kidding me I say." While rolling my eyes and Raquel shoots back a wicked smile. It's taking me all I have to not rip her head off.

"You know what? I don't have time to for this because I'm going to hangout with Sean!" I say smirking and Raquel's smile goes from ear to ear to the biggest frown. I storm into the living room and plop myself on the couch. I watch some American Horror Story until I get a text from Sean that says "If you want you can come now 😊" I type back okay and get my purse and drive to Sean's place. I'm so unbelievably nervous. I arrive at the destination and get out of the car and text Sean I'm there. It's too awkward ringing the doorbell.

"Hi." Sean and I say simultaneously say and he hugs me. Oh my god he looks so cute and smells like heaven. He leads me inside to his modern apartment.

"I have no roommates so it's just me and food. The way it should be." Sean says. I laugh. Not a fake laugh but a real genuine laugh and he laughs a bit too but it seems to be at me and not the joke. Ouch..

"Why are you laughing at me?!" I shout half seriously and half jokingly.

"Because you look cute when you laugh and it's contagious." Sean tells me and sits on the couch. I feel like crying because hearing compliments from someone that looks like he does actually makes you believe them. I sit down next to him but not too close because that would be kind of weird.

"Thanks I guess." I blush.

"Do you wanna watch a movie?" Sean asks looking at me.

"Sure." I say looking back at him and I immediately smile because of his piercing blue eyes.

"What kind of movies do you like?" Sean asks smiling back.

"I'm gonna be completely honest, I hate action movies and super hero movies. A lot of guys love them but I've sat through enough of them to know I hate them with a passion but I love chick flicks, comedies, especially romantic comedies, and scary movies." I say blabbering on and I am completely embarrassed because I seem annoying carrying on about something stupid like movie selections.

"That's what I love about you. You're so real unlike all these shallow, dumb LA girls that have a brain the size of a peanut." Sean tells me while staring at me passionately. I smile.

"Just tell me your favorite movie." He says.

"I have a lot but The Great Gatsby. I love my Leonardo DiCaprio." I explain.

"That's weird." Sean says.

"Why is that weird?" I ask curiously.

"Because that's my girlfriend's favorite movie too." Sean says and at that moment my heart broke. Now I have no chance. I thought he was leading me on by complimenting me and giving me the bear but I guess he's just a player. I'm devastated..
