I Slowly turned in my sleeping bag. I looked over to see Richard already in the kitchen making food to last that day. The food smelled delicious. Wait...ew....what's that gross smell. I stood up looking stupid as my bed head bounced around.Crap! That smell was us! But we made friends with the people who own the basket ball stadium on the corner when the came to get a sanchwhich and we take showers there now. Well if it's not us then it's our clothes. I knelt down next to Jess. Aw she looked so cute sleeping.
"WAKE UP JESS! ADAMS COMING AND WE SMELL LIKE CRAP"I screamed
Jess jumped up triping on her sleeping bag then fell into the window.i just pointed and laughed. She stood back up then grabbed her pillow.
"Are you gonna throw that? Cause That's what got us here in the first place." I said with my arms crossed smiling.
Jess tried to hide a chuckle and lowered down the pillow.
"So our clothes smell?" Jess said jumping over every crack on the side walk.
"Yeah we should head to the laundromat. How much money do we have." I said stepping on every crack just to annoy her.
"Uhhhhh" she said putting her hand in her pocket."five dollars!" Pulling her hand out with a picture of beautiful Abraham Lincoln.
We walked into the laundromat and put our clothes in the wash keeping on the pjs we had on the night we ran away.Jess pressed the buttons and then her face up against the glass.
"Sometimes i pretend like the clothes are alive and the're screaming, HELP HELP UH IM SOOO DIZZY"she said quietly watching the clothes go round and round.
"uhhh you have issues, you know that right" I said walking up to the glass next to her.
"yup!" she said happy as ever
We walked out of the laundromat in to the buzzing city.Jess pulled a bunch of change out of her pocket as she still jumped over every crack. But she stopped. She had a very confused look on her face. Jess reached back into her pocket and pulled out... is that...oh my god.
"I'm so sorry Alex i forgot i grabbed it from the orphanage" Jess pleaded
"I'm gonna fucking kill you Jess one of these days!THAT ONE FUCKING HUNDRED DOLLAR BILL COULD HAVE HELPED US THROUGH THE WINTER!" i screamed
"Alex shut up someone might hear you" Jess whisperd
I quickly covered my mouth.We both looked around. thank god no one was listening! We continued to walk in silence. All of a sudden Jess froze.
"What now!"i said turning around to see her foot was on a crack."OH MY GOD! stop freaking out thats just a myth" i said rolling my eyes.
Suddenly a man grabbed the $100 right from her pocket then ran.

Two boys threw us skateboards as we were running.i"m glad i knew how to ride. On the other hand Jess might kill herself.
We were nearing the Cafe and saw...who are those people..."CRAP ADAM'S HERE!"
The we saw mitch just straight up punch the man who took our money in the face. Dang if it was that easy?! We stopped our new boards...unless those kids come and get them back...and walked up to adam and his friends.
"i belive this is yours" Mitch said handing me the money
Adam looked at the guy on the ground then looked at Mitch.
"God Mitch you almost killed the guy, have you thought of boxing?"
All Mitch could do was shrug.
