Emotional Recovery

The next few days of practice were literally so awkward it felt like it was killing me. I did my best to avoid Sehun and Luhan and barely talked to anybody. Sehun kept trying to get close to him and Luhan seemed to act awkward whenever Sehun was around, so maybe they really were dating?

I honestly had no idea what the answer was and I wasn't sure I wanted to know either. I was still busy being upset at Sehun for what he did the other day. I still can't believe he would do something like that to me...

I try to put that incident behind me for now and decide to focus on what's most important right now: The concert.

Right now everyone is spending time in their rooms at the hotel. We decided to use today as our resting day and go back to working hard in preparation tomorrow.

Between Chen constantly asking me how things were going with me and Luhan and him being there making things feel awkward, I was exhausted. I decided to distance myself from them and headed to Suho, Kai, and D.O's room to relax away from all the mental stress.

"Hey, guys. What have you been up to?" I say as I walk through the door, letting myself in with the spare key card I had.

As soon as Kai notices me he quickly panicks, removes his arm from around D.O, and scrambles to the other side of the couch trying to act cool. D.O just shakes his head and stares back at the TV screen in front of them.

They make their relationship so obvious...

"Nothing much, just watching TV." Suho answers for all three of them, also sitting on the couch. "What are you doing here, hyung?"

"Oh, I just came to hang out. You guys don't mind if I stay here for a little while, do you?" I ask hoping not to disturb the couple.

"Ye-!" D.O opens his mouth and starts to raise his hand only to be stopped by Suho.

"Hey, I've got a better idea! How about just you and I go out for ice cream, hyung?" Suho suggests and looks at me for approval.

"I really don't have enough money for that..." I pulled out my wallet from my pocket and peeked inside. Just as I thought, almost completely empty.

"Don't worry, I can pay for both of us~" He offers kindly.

"Really?! Are you sure?"

"Yup, so let's just go and have fun!" He puts an arm around my shoulder and smiles brightly.

"O-Okay!" I smiled back finally feeling easy for the first time in a while.

-At the ice cream shop-

"One vanilla cone and one strawberry cone please." He orders for both of us and gives money to the cashier. A few seconds later he comes back with our orders and we both thank him before walking to an empty table and sitting down across from each other.

I put the strawberry ice cream to my lips and try a small bite. Amazing...

"So, hyung." Suho says in between licks. "It looks like something's been bothering you lately. Is it Luhan-hyung?"

I look up slightly surprised at how accurate he was. "How did you know?"

"I can see it on your face." He laughs and continues to eat his ice cream which was almost gone by now. "I don't know what's going on with you two, but whatever it is you should just tell him how you feel."

Tell him how I feel...? Maybe that will clear up any confusion but... how can I tell him?

"Hmm... You're probably right, I'll think about it. Thanks, Suho. For the ice cream, too."

"No problem, what are friends for?" We both smile at each other before finishing our ice cream and heading back to the hotel.

-Later that night-

I lay in bed wide awake, staring up at the ceiling with a deer sleeping peacefully next to me.

"Tell him how I feel, huh...?"
