_____'s POV:These first few weeks in Cali have been a roller-coaster ride. Not because I don't like being here but because I have been feeling uneasy about the way I left. But not everything was bad, because I started showing. Today, Mary was asking me about what I wanted the baby to be and to be completely honest with you I had no idea. Yeah I wanted a girl like almost every woman does, but I also wanted a boy who I could teach how to treat girls right. Honestly, I was completely torn apart about that.
Aside from my baby-bump growing, my appetite had significantly increased over the past week or so. I had been waking up at least twice every night, just because of how hungry I have been. This baby definitely has its father's appetite.
Today, I was going for a stroll by the beach since it was literally one block away from the house. I'm really thankful that Mary let me come live with her, because if I was still in NY, I would probably be pulling my hair out by now.
Justin's POV:
It has been almost three weeks since I last spoke to ____ and honestly it is scaring me. I went to her job and they told me that she was on vacation. The weird part about that is that when I asked for how long she would be away, they said that she didn't give a return date. I had tried to call her but always end up getting sent to her voicemail. I went to her apartment and her roommate told me that she wasn't there and that she had gone away for her vacation.
Nothing was adding up. ______ has never gone for more than a week without talking to me and she has never left for vacation without saying "goodbye" or "see you later". Especially not rubbing it in my face that she is leaving.
I tried calling her again.
Voicemail: Hi this is ______ Porter, sorry I can't get to the phone right now. Please leave your name and phone number and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank You! Don't forget to smile!
Every time I heard that last part I could not help to smile. It just happened naturally. The voicemail is so professional until it gets to that last part it never fails to make me smile. But that smile disappeared when I realized she was not answering me and it was making me more worried by the second. Especially when I remember it's not just my best friend that is missing but my child too. She is carrying my baby and I would die if anything happened to either of them.
Ryan: Justin I need you to sign this so I can send it to legal. *he said walking into my office taking me out of my thought bubble*
Justin: You have to stop walking in here like that * I said grabbing the document and signing it*
Ryan: But _____ does it all the time *He said using his favorite excuse*
Justin: I haven't seen ____ walking in here in the past couple weeks. Have you? *I said frustrated and slamming the the documents I had in my hand on the table*
Ryan: You never sign any documents without reading them. Is everything okay?
Justin: NO! NOTHING IS OKAY! ______ is not answering my phone calls, she is not at her job, and her roommate said that she is out of town. The people at her job said that she is on vacation but that they don't know when she's coming back. *I said frustrated cupping my face with my hands*
Ryan: do you think she ran away? *He said confused and worried at the same time*
Justin: that is the first thing that came to my mind. She always answers my calls and she always tells me when she's going away. And if anything happened to her or our baby I swear I would not know what to do Ryan.
______'s POV:
After spending most of my day at the beach, I headed back to the house but stopped at the nearest ice-cream parlor because once again I was starving! Once I got my ice-cream, I continued walking home but then I noticed a maternity shop and decided to walk in since I needed some new clothes.
It was time to embrace pregnancy and the fact that I was soon to blow up until I looked like a hippo. God I wish Justin was here, he would make this so much more fun.
