[ (Y/n) becomes sick leaving Hermione to take care of her.]
It was winter time at Hogwarts, and the cliff side castle was covered in snow and sleet, which lay smooth and untouched on the school grounds. Small specks of white flew down from the sky, adding fresh layers of snow to the stone fortress. Excitement was rippling among the students, for Christmas break was near. Talk of presents and fruit cake was everywhere, and the Christmas spirit was in the air. The only thing to break the joy was the tension between houses. Unfortunately, students still had a week before the Winter break, and included in this last week was last Quidditch match before the Christmas break set in. It was Slytherin vs. Gryffindor, and you were playing as Slytherin's key chaser. Your team had been practicing restlessly, for they could not afford to lose the chance of gaining points over Gryffindor for the House Cup. They were not too thrilled to see Gryffindor break their streak of 6 straight years of the House Cup champions.
Despite all the pressure of playing well in front of your house, you also realized your girlfriend, the one and only Hermione Granger, was going to be watching you play. You didn't know how she managed cheering for her house while also cheering for you, but as long as she was there to look out for you, you were satisfied.
You flew around the Quidditch pitch on your Nimbus 2000, a gift from your parents for your birthday. It was frigidly cold, and despite your Quidditch robes being thick for weather like this, you still could not stand the cool temperatures in the winter time. You knew everyone didn't like the idea of practicing in cold weather, but anyone to challenge the authority of your captain wouldn't think otherwise.
You were practicing passing around the Quaffle with Cassius and Vaisey, the other two Slytherin Chasers. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Draco practicing dives, and your keeper Miles practicing blocking techniques for the big game. You swooped low to the ground with ease and caught the Quaffle which was passed to you and threw it into one of the golden hoops, out of Miles' reach. Your team captain was pleased to see the way you all had practiced, and dismissed you back to your dormitories to rest. You sighed in relief as you flew down to the changing tent, where you collected your robes and broom and quickly left. The once gentle snowfall was now coming down harder than before, and it brought winds that whipped at your hair.
You rushed inside the castle, and you smiled at the warmth of the blazing torches along the walls and let out a sigh of relief. You made your way down to the dungeons and came to stop in front of a stone wall. You said the password, and the stone wall moved aside and presented you to the Slytherin common room. You walked into the girl's dormitories, and changed into your warmer school robes.
You noticed it was not too late in the evening, only around 6 o'clock to be precise, which meant Hermione might be doing some leisure reading in the library. Deciding you wanted to visit her, you grabbed one of your favorite novels to read while you headed back out the dungeon entrance. After many winding corridors later, you entered the large doors of the library. The torches and candles were still lit, and there will a few students around, checking out books and reading quietly. You walked around the large room quietly, looking for the certain bushy-haired individual. You found her at a vacant table next to a window with her back turned to you, completely absorbed in her book. You took this opportunity and swooped your arms around her waist, and resting your head on her shoulder.
