Chapter 1: Beginning

"Maya! Let's go, we're going to be late!" Stiles screamed from downstairs.
"Coming!" i yelled from my bedroom upstairs.
I rushed frantically around my room trying to get everything ready for school. I grabbed my phone, books, pens and shoved them all into my bag. I ran down the stairs and outside the front door, slamming it behind me. I jumped into Stiles' car and buckled myself up.
"Ok, i know i'm your brother and stuff, but you are a hot mess today" he looked me up and down while driving to school.
He wasn't wrong. I looked absolutely horrible. I woke up late this morning, so threw some clothes on, put my hair in a messy bun and didn't even bother with makeup. I only had 7 minutes to get ready. I didn't even get a chance to eat breakfast.
"Jeeze, your the best big brother in the world!" i sarcastically rolled my eyes.
Stiles is my big brother if you didn't already know. He's 16 and i'm 13. We both go to Beacon Hills High School together. He's a senior and i'm a freshman. We both have silky brown hair and bright blue eyes. We live with my dad. He's the police sherif. Our mum died when Stiles was 10 and i was 7. She was amazing. I miss her more and more each day. We never talk about her anymore, which is really sad. Everytime we do, it brings me to tears. But it doesn't matter that she's gone, because i have Stiles. He's the best big brother in the whole world.
At school i don't really have any friends so Stiles let's me hangout with him and his friends. They're all really nice, especially Scott. He's basically my brother.

As we got to school i started to tense up. Stiles could tell.
"Don't worry Maya. You'll be fine" he reassured me. I wasn't so sure about that.
