Aria's POV A lot of things happened. So quickly. I can't process it all. When Emmi was five, there was an accident. She was on life support for over a year, but she never woke up. There was a sudden sharp pain in my lower stomach. I gasped. Avery noticed and looked up at me. "Mom?" I shook it off. But then there was another sharp pain. "Oh god. Get your dad!" I gritted my teeth. Avery ran out the room and started yelling for Ezra. - Avery's POV My dad dropped me off at my auntie Spencer's and uncle Toby's. "Are you excited to be a big sister?" Auntie Spence asked. "Yeah..." "You don't look so happy, kid." Uncle Toby sighed. "I miss Emmi." "I do too." Spencer replied, putting her arm around me. She kissed my head. My other aunties and uncles joined us. Soon, my dad stepped out of the room. Everyone looked up at him. He saw I was crying. "Avery, what's wrong?" My auntie Hanna had her hands on my shoulders. I could tell they were all looking at me. "I miss Emmi." I cried. "I miss her too. So much." Dad replied. I'd never seen him cry before. "But you have amazing memories with her. And now you have a new sibling." "Is it here yet?" "Yes. And it's a little boy." "I have a brother?" "You sure do." He forced a smile onto his face. "Do you want to come and meet him?" I nodded my head. And dad wiped my tears away. I looked back at my aunts and uncles. Hanna smiled and ruffled my hair. I turned back and took my dad's hand.
