Kanan and Ezra Moments : Just You and Me

Chapter 3 : Ezra's Music Talent

Kanan p.o.v.

Me and Ezra went to his house. When we arrived, what Jun said was right. His house really small and made by cardboard. I poor for that kid. He lived with his parents there everyday. Then Ezra opened the door and we went inside.

"Mom, Dad, we're home." Said Ezra.

Then his parents met with us.

"Ezra, you here..., Wait you said 'we're' ?" Asked Ezra's Dad.

"Yes Dad, today I'm not along. Mr. Jarrus, this is My Dad, Ephraim and this is My Mom, Mira." Said Ezra.

"It's nice to see you, sir." Said Ephraim while we shaked hands.

"Me too, actually my name is Kanan Jarrus."

"Well, it nice to see you, Kanan and thank you for you brought my son here." Said Ephraim.

"You welcome, Ephraim." I said.

"You can dinner with us, Kanan." Said Mira while brought instant noodles.

"Thank you."

Then me and Ezra's family had dinner with instant noodles. I started concern with Ezra. He has a wish for his life, but their family have trouble completing their needs. After that, me and Ezra went to his room. Ezra's room just have cabinets and mattress. Then Ezra started playing his guitar while practicing.

I heard his guitar voice and I started singing a song Dream by Raef.

Ezra p.o.v.

I heard Kanan singing, it was so beautiful and my heart started to calm. I think he is a great singer too like me. After he finished singing, I clapped hands to him.

"Your sound is very good."

"Thank you." Kanan said.

Soon after that, I started feeling sad and looked down. He tried talking with him.

"Hey, what's​ going on, Ezra ?"

I started catch my breath and looked at Kanan. Then I started talking with him.

"Well, it's just. My parents never have a time for me. I mean, they are busy with their works."

"Do your parents never have free time ?" Kanan asked.

"No, my parents never have time for me, I mean, they never spending time with me, have fun together, and buy something I really want." I said.

"But where did you get the guitar ?" Kanan said while pointed at my guitar.

"I made it myself when I was 9. I made from some pisces of woods and some ropes." I said while I played my guitar a little bit.

Kanan really felt concern with me. Then he tapping my shoulder. I felt weird with that but it's made me comfortable with him. He told me about his pasti when his first day teaching in Lothal Musical School. I ever heard that before. It's just gifted kids with music that can enter. I always wanna school there but it's too expensive for me especially for my parents.

Then I was shocked when Kanan called me.

"Ezra, Ezra. What are you thinking ?"

"Nothing, nothing too much." I lied with Kanan.

"I just want to tell you something, I really like your talent, you're great singer and great guitar player. I always feel relax with your talent." Kanan said.

I shocked when Kanan said that but I felt much better in my heart.

I just can said to Kanan. "Really, thank you."

"And someday you can come with me to Lothal Musical School. We can learn more about music together." Kanan said while holded both of my shoulders.

I don't what I feeling but I just smiled on him.

"Now, I have to go home. Tomorrow I have teaching in my school again. We will meet again on the park, okay ?" Kanan said while rubbed my hair.

"Okay." I said.

"See you again, kid." Kanan said then he came out of my house.

"See you, Mr. Jarrus." I said.

I felt comfortable with Kanan. He really a nice guy and care me. Now, I had another wish is can study on Lothal Musical School with him.
