Chapter 5 : New Home

Kanan p.o.v.

Soon after that, me and Ezra visited tomb of Ezra's parents . I put flowers on their tombs while Ezra still cried on his parents tombs. Then I started thinking about Ezra, he started himself and I can't bear to see the situation he is now. Then I had an idea.

"Hey Ezra, I wanna ask you something ?" I said while tapped his shoulder.

"What is it ?" Ezra said while holded his tear.

"Do you wanna live with me, kid ?"

He was shocked after I asked to him.

"Really ?" He asked.

"Yes, you will not be alone." I anwserd.

Then Ezra gave me smile to me and hugged me so tight. I was shocked but I hugged him back. I think his awser is yes.

Ezra p.o.v.

After that, me and Ezra went to the apartment, my new home with Kanan. He opened the door dan we went in. When we enter, I saw beautiful rooms. There are living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. I sat on sofa when Kanan said to me while gave TV remote to me.

"I gonna make dinner, you enjoy it your new home."

When he cooked, I watched TV. I saw brand new many guitar. There are so awsome. I wanna buy one, but it's too expensive for me especially my parents now not by my side again. I felt hopeless and really sad.

Kanan p.o.v.

I bringed two fried rices for dinner. Then I saw Ezra wacthed very close to TV. I started calling him.

"Ezra, it's time for dinner !"

After that, Ezra heard my call and approached me. Then he started looking weird to my foods.

"What is it, Mr. Jarrus ?" Ezra said.

He don't know about many food ? except instant noodles. Better I asked him first.

"Ezra, have you never tried any other food other than instant noodles ?"

"No, my parents and I never buy rice before, we just eat, noodles, noodles, noodles. But I never see this rice until now." Ezra said.

"Well, this are fried rices, Ezra. There are so delicious. Come on, you must try this."

I tried to convince Ezra to try to eat fried rice that I made for him. Finally I did it convince Ezra for eat fried rice. He took a spoon and eat fried rice. Finally he started enjoying my food.

"Mmm..... it's not so bad. It's so delicious. I like it." Ezra said.

"See, it's really delicious, kid. If you try another new foods, you will be know how the taste."

"Okay." Ezra said while enjoyed fried rice.

Then I saw brand new guitars on TV. I remembered Ezra really want to buy a new guitar, but his old parents never buy something else besides food. Then I started asking him about guitar.

"Hey kid, why don't you play your guitar ? I really want to hear your voice and where's your guitar ?"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Jarrus. I can't sing without guitar. Zack broke my guitar before he killed my parents." Ezra said then he started looking down and sad.

After I asked to Ezra, I started concern to him. I think his voice is still good even without his guitar. I tried to convince him again.

"Oh, I see but it doesn't mean you can't sing, right ?"

"I, I don't know." Ezra said nervously.

"Come on Ezra, singing for me. I knew you can do it."

"Okay, here I go."

Then Ezra stood and took a breath slowly. Then he started singing a song Firefiles by Owl City. It turns out he still a great singer without guitar. I started clapping hand for him and Ezra started smiling to me when he singing. Finally, he finished singing.

"See, I told you, you can do it, Ezra. You can singing even without guitar."

"Thank you, but I miss playing guitar again."

"I know, then you will get a new guitar, okay ?" I said while tapped his shoulder.

"Okay."

"Good, now take a shower then you must sleep."

After that, he started shower. I started showing Ezra about his new life.
