"We never went swimming last night." I told him as we laid under the blankets in the broken bed. Don't you just love vampire strength?

"We can go today if you would like." Alec told me while tracing shapes on my back with his thumb.

"I do want to go, but I also don't feel like getting up. We could just lay here all day?" I said, sinking down more into the blankets.

"As much as I would love to do that, you need to eat at some point. I don't like it when you don't eat, it worries me."

"I'll get up to eat later, I just want to enjoy this." We laid there in silence for a few minutes, just enjoying each other's company before I spoke again. "Why'd you pick Australia?"

"It has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Do you not like it?" A sort of worry was laced in his voice and I immediately assured him that I loved it here.

"I love it, I was just curious." I looked up at him and we made eye contact, his red eyes looking into my brown ones. "I've been asking myself this question every day since we've been together, but what did I do to deserve such an amazing person like you?" A lazy smile spread over Alec's face as he moved his hand from my back and to caress my cheek.

"On the contrary, love, what did I do to deserve you. My existence has caused the death of millions but you, you're something so innocent and pure, someone that I don't deserve, yet here you are." I felt the blood rush to my cheeks and I quickly hid my face with my hair. "You are adorable when you're embarrassed."

"We should go exploring." I lifted myself up to face Alec, quickly changing the subject and hoping that the red in my cheeks had died down. "It's raining out today, too, so you don't have to worry about anyone seeing you."

"I will only go if you get up first." Alec challenged me, a smirk appearing on his face.

"But Alec, you're the one who's supposed to help me up. You are the vampire after all." I gave him an innocent look, knowing that getting up would be a struggle for us both, even though Alec could never get physically tired.

"The last thing that I want to do is leave my beautiful wife in bed alone."

"Fine, on the count of three, we get up together, agreed?" I asked, looking up to see him nod his head. "One, two, three!" Alec got up and pulled me with him, he knew that I wasn't actually going to get up. This caused me to burst out laughing as he held me close to him.

"You thought that you could trick me? Think again love." The same smirk remained on his face and I stood on my toes to kiss him.

"Just watch your back, Alec Volturi." I turned around and grabbed some clothes from our suitcase before going to the bathroom to shower and get ready.

As soon as I walked out of the bathroom, I saw Alec laying down on our bed, reading a book, fully dressed and ready to go. Damn vampire speed, I wish that I could keep up with him but I can't, and I won't ever be able to keep up.

"Are you ready, love?" Alec asked me, breaking me away from my thoughts. I nodded and smiled at my husband before we left the house and made our way into the rental car.

The house was a beach house on a fairly deserted street, which I was thankful for. The nearest house was barely in sight and we had our own private beach. We drove for a while, I blasted the music in the car, singing along to almost every song that came on with a stupid smile on my face. Alec had his hand wrapped around mine the entire time that we were driving, which wasn't terribly long, considering that a vampire was driving the car and not a human.

"Here we are, my love." Alec parked in a parking garage before we got out and walked into downtown Sydney. We walked hand in hand through the streets, admiring the beautiful city. But I had to admit, a lot of the time I wasn't just admiring Sydney, I was admiring him. And it seems like other people are as well, I thought to myself as I noticed some girls gawk as Alec walked past. I glared at them and gave Alec a quick kiss, knowing that they were looking. He's mine.

"Are you jealous?" A smirk appeared on Alec's face as he placed an arm around my shoulders.

"Those girls back there were drooling over you." I mumbled.

"Let them drool, you are my one and only." He gave me another kiss before we continued walking.

A small smile made its way onto my lips as the blood rushed to my cheeks. I've known him for a while yet I still turn bright red whenever he gives me a sweet kiss. I will never get tired of it.

"Can we go in here?" I asked as a candy shop caught my eye.

Alec nodded and we entered the shop, the smell was delicious and the shop had a second floor that was visible from the entrance. I immediately made my way towards the chocolate, dragging Alec behind me. My eyes widened as I looked at the different kinds of chocolate. I didn't know that you could make so many different kinds. I filled two bags with a bit of each kind of chocolate before getting a large bag of sour gummy bears and then making my way to the cashier.

"Are you sure that this is enough?" Alec joked, eyeing my stash of candy.

"I hope so." I chuckled as I leaned against the counter, looking at the delicious candy that would probably be gone by tomorrow.

"Have a nice day." The cashier told us as he handed me the credit card and my candy.

"Thank you!" I replied as we made our way towards the exit. "Do you ever miss being able to eat several different things instead of just blood?" I asked Alec as I opened my bag of gummy bears and began to eat them.

"Not really, I grew up in a poor village. There was never much variety to what we ate, it was almost the same thing everyday. Blood is a luxury to me now, a luxury that I can have whenever I'd like." I nodded my head in understanding, putting another small gummy bear into my mouth.

"Hey, watch this." I told Alec before throwing a gummy bear up in the air and catching it in my mouth.

"Am I supposed to be impressed?" He joked and I playfully glared at him.

"Look, I get it, you're like two thousand years old but let me be a teenager." I replied, gently shoving him, which did nothing because he is stronger than I am.

"You'll always be a teenager, love."

"So will you. We'll grow old together without actually getting old." I threw another gummy bear into my mouth, remembering the old times that the guys and I would have competitions to see how many gummy bears we could catch, even Sam played. "Sam used to buy me these all of the time when we were kids. We'd walk down to the store where Embry's mom worked and he'd buy me a pack. Then we'd sit on the beach and tell stories." I smiled at the memory, it was a piece of my life that I could never forget, as long as sour gummy bears were around.

"Tell me more." I looked at him, in curiosity and confusion.

"What do you mean? You know pretty much everything about me."

"Yes, but I want to know the little things. The things that make your eyes light up and the small shy smile appear on your lips, the things that involve your family, old memories."

"Well..." I proceeded to tell him the small things of my life that I appreciated. I told him of all of the things that Sam and I used to do as kids, when my parents were still around. I told him about how I grew up on the reservation, with Sam and the guys around, as well as all of their parents helping us out. Throughout all of this, he listened intently and made occasional comments; he wiped away my tears if any fell, and when I laughed, he laughed with me. This was one of those small moments that I wouldn't forget. I've learned to appreciate the small things, and this was one of those small things.
