Two Days Later

Selena:

I let DeVante keep August, Dalvin kept calling. I was torn between the two but I had to do what's right for August. Dalvin has been incredible but, I didn't know not seeing August or being apart of his life caused so much pain for DeVante

"He's my twin Sel, except for the skin color that's you.", DeVante said as he smiled happily as he played with August

"I'm aware.", I sigh

"Peek-a-boo.", DeVante says covering up his eyes and revealing it as August laughed happily

"DeVante, August and I have to leave we been here for two days and Dalvin keeps calling.", I say cause I know I'm playing with their emotions and I don't want too do that

"So. You can go but August is staying.", DeVante says sternly as I rolled my eyes

"Whatever I'll be back later on.", I say as I kissed August head and left to and face Dalvin

Dalvin:

How could she not return my calls. I'm fully aware that DeVante is August biological father but I've been their ever since he was born

"Dalvin", I hear Selena call out

"Selena where's August", I say ain't playing

"Dalvin don't ask that when I think you know.", Selena said catching an attitude

"Selena I've been there, longer than DeVante. I love my brother but I love August too.", I point out

"So do I. But don't you think both of us being selfish when it comes to August. DeVante wants to be in his life and one day August is gonna find out Dalvin. It's time for the games to stop.", Selena say sternly

"But-.", I start

"Dalvin I love you, but I can't stand in hurting someone. It's best to think about August interests and just be his uncle. After he was born I couldn't picture myself in having a child with you that would've made the child siblings to August and his cousins and that's weird. This whole situation is weird.", Selena say as she did make sense

"So what are you saying.", I say wanting her to get her point across

"I'm saying this between me and you is over. I need to think about August interest. You need to think about your daughter interest too Dalvin please.", Selena say as I kissed her one last time

Selena:

I knew it was a goodbye kiss. So when he pulled away, he knew I was right. But if I'm honest I genuinely love Dalvin. But I need to do what's right for everyone and even myself. So I drove back to DeVante house so him and I can talk. I needed to set a lot of things straight

"So how was the meeting with Dalvin went.", DeVante asked

"I broke up with him telling him I needed to do what's right for August.", I sigh

"Did you wanted to break up with him.", DeVante ask

"Donald I had too plus I've hurted to many people along the way by sleeping with you.", I confess

"Then why can't we be together.", DeVante scoffed

"Because I- our situation is a mess. I never wanted to have a child born out of wedlock but I did and now everything is backwards.", I say as DeVante looked at me

DeVante:

I was really annoyed. Me and her can be a family but I kinda understood where she was coming from. She was with my brother and had my baby and not his. Dalvin has been there longer than me but I can't help the way I feel.

"Where you going.", I asked as Selena picked August up

"To Aaliyah's.", Selena said as she sighed and August looked at us confused as hell while sucking his pacifier

"No stay here for a lil while longer baby.", I say as she nodded and put August down

"Just for tonight.", Selena smiled and her fingers went through her jet black hair

"Ok baby.", I say as she looked at me

"I'm not your-.", Selena say but I cut her off with a kiss
