Did I regret storming out like that? Not really. For the mission, I was ordered to stay on their good side, but I personally think that they have to see the real me to trust me. Also, since when did I listen to the director? Truth to be told, I have broken a lot of the director's orders, but the reason why he still likes me is that I get the job done. There hasn't been a mission where I completely failed. Sure there are some that I made mistakes, but I fixed them afterwards. I was completely lost in my thoughts when the door opened and Jase walked out. He stood next to me and leaned onto the wall.
"Are you out here to lecture me?" I asked breathlessly.
"No, I am here to keep you company and tell you that what you did was pretty clever," Jase said chuckling lightly.
"What was your test like?" I asked crossing my arms.
"I don't know if I am allowed to tell you that," Jase reminded and I rolled my eyes.
"Since when did I follow rules?" I asked and Jase laughed.
"Well they handed me a gun and had me shoot a random guy. I refused and handed the gun back to Kingsford," Jase explained slowly and smiled, "But I swear, Kingsford looked pissed when you called him out."
I raised my hands up in surrender, "Hey! It's not my fault that he didn't explain things that clearly. I found loopholes."
"You sure did," he said and a split second later, we heard a gunshot. Jase and I exchanged worried glances before bursting into the room. Liam was on the ground holding his stomach and Timothy was gripping onto the handle of the gun. Instinctively, I ran over to where Liam was and kneeled down to him.
"Liam, are you okay? We need to get you some medical attention stat!" I babbled and almost slapped myself for being this frantic. Liam chuckled slightly.
"I am okay Dylan, seriously. I was prepared and wore a bulletproof vest. The blow from the bullet just knocked me down I guess," he assured me while showing me the vest. I stood up and stuck out my hand and helped him up.
"I am sorry that I was worried about you," I mumbled sarcastically.
"Well I am glad that you care Dylan, that is a trait we value here," Liam whispered and I smiled slightly.
"Timothy, you have failed this test. You will be escorted by one of my men off the premises," Will ordered and Timothy was taken out of the room.
"Dylan and Jase, we will be deliberating about whether you two are recruited or not," the Chief said and I nodded.
"You guys can hang around the kitchen until we call you guys in," Liam suggested and I agreed. That was a lot to take in for one day and that is saying something since it is coming from me.

"Man, we are assassins, yet that was way too much drama for me," Jase said as we sat on a bench outside.
"That was just what I was thinking earlier," I said staring off into the field.
"You seemed very worried about Liam earlier. I have never seen that out of you," Jase said slowly with a straight face.
"I don't know, I wasn't even thinking. It was like I acted before I could process anything," I explained and smiled weakly.
"You have only met Liam for what, less than two days? And you already like him?" Jase asked chuckling.
"No, honestly, he's not my type Jase. I see him more as a friend," I stated. Jase sighed and I smiled weakly.
"What's wrong Jase? You know that you can tell me anything right?" I asked and he nodded slowly.
