"Thanks for keeping me company Dylan. I am probably the most annoying person you will ever meet," Kara said and laughed lightly.

"No, I assure you that I enjoyed your company," I said and added, "Besides you are interesting and who wants to be friends with someone who is boring?" Kara and I burst into laughter and she smiled.

"Well I have to go, my father is calling me," she said while looking at her phone, "Bye Dylan."

"See ya Kara," I said before walking out onto the front porch. I breathed in the fresh air that came from the nearby trees enjoying the silence before it was interrupted by the sound of my vibrating phone.

"What do you want?" I asked as my voice hardened.

"I am still surprised that you dare to talk to me like that," Director Ramirez said and I rolled my eyes.

"Well you need me Director, it's that simple," I said walking to the back of the house making sure no one could hear me.

"I want you back at base so you can give me a briefing on what you accomplished so far. Both you and Falcon need to be here by 4," Ramirez said.

"We will be there," I said and hung up the phone. We haven't gotten and evidence that incriminates the Kingsfords, only reasons why they aren't guilty of whatever charges held against them. I quickly searched the house, looking for Jase, and found him in the garage by himself.

"Jase, the Director wants to see us by 4 for a briefing," I said and I heard Jase groan before turning to me.

"Of course he does. He isn't going to be happy when he finds out that we haven't gotten anything," Jase said and I shrugged.

"First of all, we have only been here for a couple of days and second of all, he is kind of scared of me. Correction: He is scared of Huntress," I said and Jase laughed.

"That isn't making me feel better, but I hope that you are right," Jase said exhaustedly, "Let's get going. I rather be there early than late." We both hopped on our motorcycles and drove to the underground base. As I drove on the freeway to my apartment to pick up my disguise, I thought about what Kara told me. When she told me that Will had trust issues, I never really pondered on it until now. He did seem a lot colder than his father, which was weird in my book. As I pulled into the automatic garage, I began contemplating what I should reveal to the Director. The short time away from the Organization has had me thinking about the reliability of the Director. I don't know what I can tell him, but I know that I should keep some things a secret until further notice. I walked into HQ and went straight to the Director's office without making any eye contact with the other spies. I swung the door open and the Director looked up at me.

"Nice to see you early Huntress," Ramirez said and I kept a stoic expression, "You do not need an invite. Sit!" I glanced at Jase before sitting down in front of Ramirez.

"We are pleased to report that we have gotten closer to the Kingsfords," I stated and Ramirez nodded in satisfaction, "But we haven't gathered enough information that proves that they are working on some sort of weapon."

"Huntress checked the archive room, but there was no record of any weapons or plans that would cause destruction, Director," Jase said politely.

"Why, I expected you two to do better than that," Ramirez said coldly and I stood up abruptly a split second later.

"We have only been in the crew for a couple days Ramirez, I bet that some of your agents would still be gaining the trust from the Kingsfords," I snapped and Ramirez started chuckling.

"Alright! Settle down Huntress. I am giving you more time, but in the next mission debriefing, you better have some useful information. If you don't, I won't hesitate to eliminate you two and the Kingsfords without any evidence," Ramirez said maniacally, "Dismissed!" I sneaked in a dirty look at the Director before exiting the room with Jase. Once we exited HQ and were out of earshot, I groaned in frustration.

"You know that I despise the Director right?" I asked and Jase nodded, "Before this mission, I have found that he was always right. This time, I don't think he is."

"I cannot make a judgment until we get more evidence," Jase said and I sighed.

"Touché. I know how logical you are and how careful you are," I said and Jase nodded slowly, "But I guess you keep me in line so I don't run off making reckless decisions."

"But hey, you help me think outside of the box," Jase assured me and I chuckled lightly.

"You are just trying to make me feel better," I said disagreeing with his response.

"Oh please, I am a very honest person," Jase said and I rolled my eyes.

"Dylan! I missed you!" Kathleen exclaimed as I stepped inside her apartment. She then hugged me tightly.

"I—can't---breath," I said gasping for air and Kathleen loosened her grip before giggling.

"Sorry, I just missed you," Kathleen said and I smiled.

"It's only been a couple of days," I said and Kathleen scoffed.

"With you, a couple of days can make a big difference," Kathleen said and I sighed. She was referring to when I went on one of my one-day missions and got shot. I basically was trying to track down a drug dealer and let down my guard for a second. In that second, I got shot in my leg and it gave Kathleen, Eric, and Jase quite a scare.

"I know, but I have been texting you every night just to let you know that I am okay," I explained and Kathleen sighed.

"You have, but it's a better confirmation if I see you in person. Besides, you are my best friend and sister from another mother," Kathleen said and laughed lightly.

"I understand," I said and Kathleen smiled.

"Is your moment over? And can you acknowledge that I am here?" Jase asked jokingly and Eric laughed.

"Same. I don't get a hug?" Eric asked and I laughed. I walked over to Eric and gave him a hug.

"Hey big bro," I said and Jase gave Kathleen a hug.

"So how's the mission so far?" Eric asked and I shrugged.

"Nothing too serious right now. There is a misunderstanding that is happening right now, but its kind of classified for the time being," I said slowly and Kathleen gave an understanding nod. Right now, I had to be careful with who I was telling mission details to because I do not think I can trust anyone. Well, I can trust my friends, but what is happening in the Organization is dangerous. Kathleen and Eric knowing what I am finding out could bring trouble to them.

"Don't worry, we understand," Eric said.

"Thanks guys," Jase said sincerely, "I want to keep you guys updated, but Dylan has a point to why she doesn't want to tell you guys."

"Just promise that if you are being targeted, you would give us a heads up," Kathleen asked and I ran my fingers through my hair.

"We promise," I said and turned to Jase, "Right?"

"Right."
