Thana's POV
I knelt at his throne. My knees, planted on the cold hard ground. Wails of agony came from above, by I didn't dare look higher, I wasn't that shameless to look at a God's Eyes. Gee, what did I do to deserve this? I just went to take a dip.
"What do you think you're doing?!" His voice renovated around the whole room, it was filled with power and authority. It was a wonder on how his Palace can still hold its ground when he's in a very bad mood, for example, like right now. "Taking a dip into the Lakes of the Blest! Changing the course of-"
"What am I doing?" I remarked. I was trying very hard to refrain my anger. My hands were shaped into fists while clenched into my shirt. It was getting sweaty too. "You're getting mad because I'm changing the course of my future, aren't you?!" I exclaimed, saying it on the top of my lungs. Even that was hard to do, disobeying and talking without permission of a God is enough for me to achieve Eternal Damnation.
The room dropped into a hundred degrees as he stood up from his throne and summoned his staff out of anger, "You dare speak to me in that tone, young lady! I have been keeping you safe from-"
"From what? The Outerworld by keeping me in the House of Monsters!" I replied, raising up to my feet, the gravity pulling me down hard, but I held my ground. I looked up to meet empty sockets filled with miniature blue flames, "I am done being trapped! Trapped in a lie! Everything you told me was a lie" I said, pointing my finger at him, "You kept me here... Death isn't even my father, is he?! That's another lie to keep me here!"
"You better shut your trap, young lady unless you want to be dinner for Cerberus!"
"I am not afraid of your threats!" I shouted, my lungs getting tired of all the anger and tone it let out. I breath heavily, my chest heaving up and down. What can a Mortal do to a God?
"Tell me the truth! I deserve it after all the lies..." I faltered as my eyes get heavier and heavier, but I pinched my skin harshly and it was enough to jerk me awake. But, I also felt like my limbs starting getting heavier, my body was almost like I was trying to raise duffel bags filled with rocks. It was getting harder to breath in every second, I couldn't be tired after just shouting, can I?
"The Truth is something you will not be able to handle if you can't accept the fact you can't leave the Underworld" he bolted as he slammed his pure dark staff to the ground, momentarily freezing it and shaking his palace. It almost took me off-guard, when his palace shook, I almost gave in to what I thought was a soft rocking, like in hammock.
"Because you cursed me! What did I do to you?! You cursed me once I was a baby and left me out in the world! Then you take me back here again! Why?!" I said, tears streaming down my eyes, as I forced my lasts energy to keep myself upright, "What did I do to deserve this!" I exclaimed, my tired body finally retreating as my knees sank to the ground, my arms went limp, and my eyelids slowly drooped over my irises. But, before I lose conscience I managed to keep them open for a few moments before I literally become a DID (Damsel in Distress)
"It is another story for another day... I did not curse you, but your mother cursed you a Hero's Fate" he said, and I looked up to see pity and sadness in the God's Face.
Suddenly the door blasted open revealing a boy, that looked a bit older than me. The aura around him was warm, and cozy. His face looks to familiar, with those unruly black hair, slim body, pale-to-death skin tone, he looked like he was a zombie or a ghost. But, his eyes ruined the image, dark-brown eyes over dark hair. His eyes we're warm, and bright like the hearth, or a hot marshmallow chocolate drink. I wouldn't know the taste though... Or maybe I don't just remember.
What's going on?
Short? Doesn't make sense? Don't worry much, the next chapter would explain it! I promise. And finally! Nico Di Angelo saves the day!!! Eeekkk!!! *fangirls* I, soooo wish I'm Thana right about now!!
