Roxanne's P.O.V-
"It's my first day of my senior year of high school - AND I'M GOING TO BE LATE!!!!" I scrambled as I ran throughout the my room as I continued to groan. "Why me? Why on the first freaking day!"
"Roxas! Hurry up we've been waiting forever!" Dasia whines.
"Okay! I'm just throwing on my sweater!! Coming! Hey Jax grab my red vans!"
"Got 'em! Now let's go!"
The four of us run out my house and jump into my best friend's car, and speed off.
About five minutes into the ride, Jax, Dasia, and Drew turn and give me the death glare.
"Roxas! Really!" Jax pouts.
"I'm sorry my alarm didn't go off!" I lie.
"So this is it girls, the first day of the last year! It seems like just yesterday when we first meet each other."
"Awe c'mon Rox, let's start off our year with a bang!" Drew cries with excitement.
"Drews right. Hey but it's not like we have to try, we are the most popular girls in school."
Jax turns into the parking lot of school and we get out bags in hand.
"Get ready to run to class ladies!"
"Soo yeah um about that." Dasia says.
I look at my friends with a confused look.
"Well roxas we aren't really late we are right on time, we just got you early so we wouldn't be." Dasia shrugs.
"What do you mean!? I'm not always late!" I protested, even though I half knew they were right.
"Oh honey why do you lie to yourself? You are late to everything." Jax says with a hint of sarcasm.
Jax starts listing all important events when i was late, but i was too busy looking at who looked to be a new student. Unlucky for him he was stuck with chase for a guide. Chase waves at me and signals for me to come over.
"Hey i'll be right back."
"Okay don't be too long." Drew warns.
I almost made it there without any problems until i hear...
"Roxas watch out for that bag!" A high pitch voice rang behind my group of friends.
But it was too late. I tripped and dropped my bag, but someone grabbed me right before i hit the concrete, and hoisted me up.
"Are you alright?"
I look up to see the new kid staring me right in the face. He's cute, light-skinned like me, curly hair, and light brown eyes. He has a bit of a baby face but it fits him well. He was wearing jean shorts a polo and some vans.
"I am so sorry! Are you hurt?! Can I take you to the nurse?!" I ask jumping out of his arms frantically brushing myself off.
"I'm fine, but, i think those are my lines." He smiles handing me my bag.
I toss my bag on my back.
"What do you mean, you didn't trip me?" She said confused.
"You're right, but I did leave my bag in the middle of the sidewalk. I'm sorry for indirectly tripping you." he apologizes with a hint of guilt in his eyes. Little did he know, me tripping is pretty common.
"Oh don't worry. No harm, no foul. I'm lucky you were there to catch me. I'm Roxanne but everybody calls me Roxas. "
I say waving it off trying to lift his spirits. He smiles-it seems to have worked.
