4. Practice

Peter's POV

I walked into the auditorium seeing everyone ready.

"PARKER! YOUR LATE!" The teacher yelled at me and I looked surprised.

I apologized and went backstage to get in my "costume". They had us wearing different clothing during rehearsals until the real costumes were made. I got in and moved to the stage. I stood in the center of the stage behind Anthony.

"We fought with him," Chris and Jose sing, representing Hercules and Lafayette.

"Me? I died for him," Steve sang, representing Laurens and Philip.

"Me? I trusted him," James and Hallie sang, representing Washington and Rose (saying she trusted him as a friend, no matter what Jefferson said about him).

"Me? I loved him," Wanda, Natasha, and Lily sang, representing Angelica, Eliza, and Maria/Peggy.

"And me? I'm the damn fool that shot him," Anthony sang, representing Aaron Burr.

"There's a million things I haven't done but just you wait," the ensemble sang.

"What's your name, man?" Anthony sang, moving revealing me behind.

"Alexander Hamilton," I sang with the entire cast.

"Great job, next we will be going over The Schuyler Sisters! Anthony, Wanda, Natasha, and Lily be ready in two minutes!" The teacher yelled at them.

Everyone nodded in response and began setting up for the song. I stared at Lily as she talked to Nat and Wanda. (Not in a creepy way!) The way her lips moved at a certain speed, as she bit her bottom one. She had a habit of taking her bottom lip between her teeth when she was stressed or thinking. He smiled to himself and Anthony came up to him.

"Quit staring, its gotten creepy, kid," he said, laughing to himself.

"Whatever," he said and stood up from his chair walking to the rack as the music started.

He watched as Natasha "dragged" Lily across the stage by her arm.

"Daddy said not to go downtown!" Lily sang out in a certain voice that made her sound a bit more like a child.

"Like I said you're free to go but-" Natasha sang tapping her chin.

"Look around, look around, the revolutions happenin' in New York!" The two girls sang.

"Angelica," the female ensemble sang. "Work!" The three sisters and female ensemble sang.

"In the greatest city, in the greatest city, in the world," the three sang towards the end, "in the greatest city in the world!"

"Great! We will fix it up a bit later! But for now, lets move on to Helpless! Be ready in a minute!"

Lily's POV (sorry)

The time went by during the first act. I wasn't singing in many songs, but I wasn't singing in many songs at all. I really really wanted to tell them I wasn't auditioning, and back out. But Peter told me it would be best if I did, I would get out of my detentions, Saturday schools, but I had to be obedient. I had to "obey the rules". I don't know how he convinced me to do them.

I groaned and walked home by Peter's side.

"I don't wanna do this dumb show!" I groaned, having already been casted as Peggy and Maria.

"You barely even sing! You'll be fine! Please do it!" He argued.
