I try to drop the cloth but it's stuck to my hand and is making its way up my arm. Terrified I tried to claw it off of me burn it not working.
Both my hands are wrapped. It's as if I'm wearing gauze mittens. I can not grip this cloth. The harder I try to get rid of it the tighter it encircles me. Gazing at my legs I see that they have been wrapped too. My whole body is bandaged.
I have become a mummy.
I stare in horror as this brown and shrunken body exits the shadows and makes its way towards me. This can not be happening.
My brain screams.
The diary can not be true. It could not have come back to life. Not after being dead for four thousand years.
But he is and is heading straight towards me.
His nose is a pointed bump on the hard, leathery face  there are eye sockets but no eyeballs. They are just big gaping pits. His mouth is twisted into the most hideous half smile I have ever seen. He is so tiny and skinny. Looks about my height but much, much thinner.
For a second, I feel sorry for him. Until I realise he's coming closer... Closer... Before I know it, he's is reaching out and touching my face.
A jolt flows through me with this contact. When the mummy pulls away it's hand m y heart almost stops as I watched what happens.
It's transforming.
Into me!!!
It's face softens and fills out. The skin becomes fleshy and alive. He not only looks like me but is also wearing my clothes. Then he turns and runs. My face and body start to tingle. Sometimes bad is happening. The bandages become tighter and under them I can feel my skin beginning  to shrivel.
These bandages... There cursed.
