Prologue:

“Catherine…” it whispered. Hearing my name sent a chill up my back. My mind went reeling as I tried to place the voice, it sounded so familiar and distinct. I was in a castle like I always was, and I was always alone except for that voice. I looked up to find what looked like a million eyes staring right back at me.  I started running, I ran as far away as I could. I could still see the faint glow of lights that were still left on in the huge abandoned like castle; I couldn’t seem to get far enough no matter how much I was sprinting.

I soon found myself alone in the woods. I thought I was finally away from it. “Catherine, you better not be trying to run away from me.” That time the voice sounded closer and that is when I realized how I knew that voice. I still didn’t know the name but I did know it was a he.
