About three minutes after the late bell already rang, I finally managed to open my locker and get my stuff out. I opened my agenda to see my schedule it read:

I quickly found out that I had no idea where my first class was so I roamed around the halls until I found the door with, “Leadership”, printed on the front. I slightly tapped the door and all the noise that was being made on the inside was now a dead silent sound.
“Come in,” a female voice replied in a singsong tone. I walked in and all eyes turned on me, yeah no attention would be drawn to me at all. I can now feel my forehead flashing red and blue lights with the sign. “Well, good morning. You’re a little late but there are exceptions made for new students. We were just about to introduce our selves because today you aren’t the only new student. I’ll start the introductions; my name is Mrs. Carolina. Please feel free to tell the class a little bit about yourself.” And I’m pretty sure this is where I am supposed to embarrass myself.
“Hi. My name is Catherine Matthews and I’m from Washington.” They seemed bored and greeted me with unison of grunts and soft mumbles.
The teacher told me where to sit and asked for the other new student to stand up and greet the class. After a while several other students had done the same. The first day was always quite a bore especially with no friends. Algebra went by like a summer breeze. Almost like it wasn’t there at all. I wish I could’ve said the same for chemistry though. The teacher had talked on and on continuously without stopping.
Finally the bell had rung and I set myself off in search f my next class. Language arts seemed to be pretty easy though. I walked in to the class and immediately noticed someone out of the blue. I don’t think I’ve ever met him. Although, he did look familiar.
A lean boy with dark shaggy hair and dark brown eyes that had a soft touch to them stood there in front of me. Surprisingly I found him quite attractive. He said, “I'm Nathan L.” He sat down and was ironically placed right next to me. His voice though, I’ve heard it before, I know I have, I just can’t remember where it’s from. I ignored it and continued on through my day. I found that class quite interesting though, especially with that boy, Nathan.
Then another boy who was a bit taller stood up. He had piercing blue-cerulean eyes that had immediately captivated me. I felt hypnotized and lost in the sea of calmness. His voice was gentle but gruff at the same time; it was hard to explain what emotions I was experiencing. It was like pleasure and soothing. He was helping the teacher pass out papers. He handed me one with a smirk on his face even though he had seemed quite shy. His confidence was surprising; it wasn't about his looks it was about the way he spoke. It had an aggressive abruptness to it, yet I felt at peace and calm just the way looking int his eyes had made me feel. I felt safe.
That's when I realized I was being spoken to.I must have ended up dozing off and day dreaming about him. I snapped my neck in that general direction and peered around for the source of speech. It was the blue eyed boy. He was repeating my name. "Yes?" I had asked and answered him.
"Hi. I wanted to introduce myself," he held out his hand for me to shake which I did. "I'm Chase W. I think it's pretty cool that you're from Washington, I am too." He was smiling which made me feel more comfortable with the situation. I smiled as well and started getting nervous. Then I said probably the stupidest thing that I could have uttered.
"I noticed because we are both a pale." I mentally face palmed myself after saying this. "Um. I'm sorry that was stupid." He started laughing and I became a puddle.
"No, no. It's fine, it was cute." He kept laughing and grinning. I could feel my face flaming a deep crimson red just as Cole's did this morning. Then I thought, wait, he just called me cute.
Before my common sense kicked in I muttered, "Not as cute as you." I immediately regretted opening my mouth. To my surprise he just smirked.
"You're the cute one here not me," he said laughing. "Hey, you should join me at lunch. If you want to that is." His face turned a bit pink and I noticed his dimples. Oh my God. I love dimples so much.
"Dimples! Awe they're so cute." I poked his face right in the epicenter of the crescent shaped crater in his plump and soft cheeks.
"No. I hate them," he was covering his face so it came out muffled, yet I knew he was smiling. "Okay, anyways. If you need help getting to your class I can show you around."
I tried to protest and disagree that I'd be fine on my own, but he kept insisting. He was acting like such a gentleman, it was cute. He had looked at my schedule and muttered to himself, "Algebra. Okay, easy enough my class is next to yours. Would you mind if I stopped by my locker? I could help you with yours if you have trouble with it. They can be pretty stubborn at times." I replied that i wouldn't mind at all. So he put out his arm and escorted me like a sir just to embarrass me and draw attention. Although, I'm pretty sure his intentions were to just have fun. "We're off," he said with a smile as he walked me down the hallway in the mob of warm bodies.
