Arriving to the lockers was easy enough. His was a little ways from mine. His locker was practically empty when I peered inside. God, I'm pretty damn nosy now that I notice. I looked away in the general direction of my own locker. There were a few people surrounding it. I'm going to make a fool of myself.

He closed his and turned the dial a few times as a precautionary issue. Lucky him, his locker was his height. I mean, I know I'm short but I still didn't want a bottom locker. Oh well. He looked at the paper I had handed him earlier and saw my locker number and combo. He helped me move my tiny figure through the rest of the crowd down the narrow hallway and on the opposite side. His long fingers gracefully turned the knob and was precise each time to hit the correct number on the dial that he had gotten it opened on the first try. "Here you go." His voice once again caught me by surprise.

He began introducing a friend of his whose locker was ironically placed next to mine. He was Kyler. I didn't particularly like him at first. He was bigger as in taller and a body type built for football. His locker had the Seahawks on it. Okay, he must obviously be from Washington and likes football. Noted. They chatted for a bit before Chase decided to actually present me to his friend. Kyler held out his hand politely and spoke in between the noises of chewing gum. It was spearmint, I could tell. "Hey, I'm new here."

"I can tell," he smirk and half heartily laughed. "So how do you like it here so far?" He seemed genuinely curious. "And how old are you anyways?"

"Well, it seems okay here. Warmer for sure. Oh well I'm still at the mere epoch of 15." I was really nervous. My heart started palpitating again, I didn't like talking to more than one person at a time.

I bent down to my locker as they chatted some more. "I'll be quick." I grabbed my stuff in a rush and just as I heard Chase about to warn me most of my stuff flew out. "Fuck," I muttered under my breath.

"Hey, calm down. Don't worry it's fine. Here let me help." As he was putting my stuff together so that I could cram it all back into the suffocating gap. Shit, I'm dead if he sees them. Them. Referring to several papers I have. Along with other things that people weren't supposed to know about. I'd get into so much trouble. I was extremely cautious and watched him with a keen eye from my location on the floor stacking books atop one another.

"Um. It's okay. Really. I promise. I can handle it." I was slightly stuttering and shaking from nervousness and fear. Although, he didn't exactly seem to notice at all.

He smiled and shook his head in a fluid motion. "Nah. Don't be silly. Really it's no problem at all." He continued to help. Fuck it. What ever. I'll just let him be and do as he wishes. His smile slowly faded as he was drawn into reading some pages of mine. I passed this off as him reading some school notes from my prior school and classes that I had idiotically kept.

He piled the trash and what ever else I had back into my locker and dropped me off at the next class. "I'll see you around ok?" he had asked me.

"Oh yea sure, that sounds great." Mental face palm again. I walked into the class and sat down next to a girl who seemed to be just about decked with piercings. She had scene hair; it had blue, blonde, purple and some brown. "Hey." I lamely introduced myself.

She smiled at me, "Hi, I'm Tessa. But I like Baby Blade or Blade more." She seemed a bit self-conscious. Like she was worried about things or she just plainly thought she wasn't pretty. Which she actually was. Her personality got to me, I liked her.

Math was pretty good. Math and Language Arts are my all time most favoured out of all the dreary school choices. If you ever really get a choice. Nothing too exciting had occurred in Science. I finally moved on to Language Arts where I saw Kyler again. Along with Nathan. That boy. I got chills up my back thinking about his voice, it had creeped me out now that I took the time to think about it. I didn't like him as much as I first did. I suddenly felt uneasy. I turned around suddenly ready to escape the madness in my head when I ran straight into Cole.

He took one look at my face and his morphed into worry. "Cathy, what's wrong? Are you okay?" I could hear the strain in his voice to keep his usual coolness. He looked down at my balled fist grasping something ever so tightly. "Catherine, no. Come here." He pulled me into  the hallway and hugged me tight then told me that he was going to sit with me in every class from now on.

"O-okay." I was stuttering hence that was better than the rush of tears I was on the verge of. I wouldn't cry on the first day, I was scolding myself again.

Then out of the corner of my eye I saw Chase round the corner of the building. Shit, I don't want him to see my like this. Without realizing this I was still grasping the little relief giver I had in my hand. It pierced through my pale skin leaving behind a clear incision. It was quickly clotting with small tiny scarlet beads in a perfect little line. He came closer and looked at me.
