It's Monday morning and I'm finally going back to my hometown of Tampa, Florida.
After two years of living with my Aunty Sarah. Now your probably wondering why did you leave for two years? What could've possibly happened? Well, let me start from the beginning.

It all started at the beginning of 2014 during January. My mother was diagnosed with Leukemia which is a cancer in your blood cells. I noticed that her everyday routine became unusual when she started getting bad fevers during the day and then sweating really badly at night.

One day I was coming home from the grocery store to find my mum on the floor, she had fainted and so I immediately called the paramedics. They took her to hospital and told me to wait outside her room while they conducted a check up on her. I was so impatient, it felt like they were taking hours.

After hours of tests a doctor and a nurse finally came out to tell me what was happening, that's the moment when I found out my mum had Leukemia. The nurse suggested I go home and get some rest, I told her I wasn't leaving my mom, so she offered me a room at the hospital instead.

She said "follow me." She led me to a room that was very well cleaned, the tv remote was on the bedside table and so was a plate of food. I said "thank you so much, but when can I see my mum?" She replied "in the morning, she's asleep right now."

I was laying down in the bed watching the tv but I couldn't fall asleep because all I could think about was my mum. I had completely forgotten about school and my part-time job. My mind was in a frenzy thinking about everything at once.

Then the nurse came back into my room and asked "why are you still up?" I replied "I cant sleep, all I can think about is my mum." Then I began to cry. All the emotions just came flooding in and I didn't know what to do. The nurse came to me and gave me a hug.

Then she said "You're going to be fine." "I hope so," I replied. I then somehow fell asleep. I had a dream about my mum. It was pitch black and then she walked towards me and said "I love you, please stop worrying about me."

I woke up at 7am in shock. Then ran to the desk to ask if I could see my mum. She got up and showed me to her room. "Mum?" I cried out, asking if she could hear me. Her eyes opened and I started to cry, she couldn't talk very well so she whispered to me "Hi baby." I said in a soft voice "Hey mum, where have you been?" In a sarcastic voice, I chuckled even though I was crying. She smiled and said "I'm so sorry baby, I love you and please stop worrying about me I'm going to be fine." Then I remembered my dream, those were the exact words she said in my dream.

Then she said "I love you," again and I kept asking myself why she said that. Two seconds later the heart monitor wasn't beeping anymore. The doctors came rushing in and told me to leave.

An hour passed and then I fell to the floor. She was gone. The doctor said "I'm so sorry, but your mother is gone." And just like that she was gone. I had never felt that kind of pain and nausea before. I was in shock, I couldn't breathe, I almost fell to the floor. I became so weak and fell back. I hit my head and they took me into a hospital room.

The doctor told me I had a small bruise. I didn't care i just wanted to see my mum. I ran back to her room but she was gone. I screamed at the lady at the desk "WHERE IS MY MOTHER?" She told me to calm down. I was absolutely furious but devastated. I replied in a calmer voice "please, can you tell me where my mother is?" And then I started to cry. She told me they had taken my mum to the morgue.

One week later, my mother was buried. They gave us her body from the morgue and we buried her right next to her mum and dad. They died when I was really young. I never really knew them but I did meet them.

After my mum was buried I had no where to go, so my Aunty suggested I go and stay with her for a few years. Until I'm old enough to come back and start college. Now I'm 18 years old, ready to start.
