GERMANY NOW HAS MARRIAGE EQUALITY! The German Bundestag decided today, on the last day of Pridemonth, that queer couples should be able to marry and adopt! And me and my girlfriend and half my class we're like: YES FUCKING FINALLY!
Before that, queer couples could only opt for a "eingetragene Lebenspartnerschaft" - a signed in life partnership, which didn't make you able to adopt.
