Shriek!! Shriek! CaCaw! Shriek! Shriek! TweetTweet! Shriek! CaCaw!

"Ugh, five more minutes." I reach for the snooze button, instead finding my hand hitting...tree bark? "What the heck?" I open my eyes, squinting as the bright sunlight streamed down between the thick pine branches. "Since when did I sleep in a forest?" I ask myself, standing up and removing my hood to scratch my head...wait hood? Last time I checked I had on tennis shoes, pants and a T-shirt, not these weird tan trousers, a green tunic, long brown leather boots, and a camouflage cloak. I don't change clothes that fast. Ever. Hearing the snapping of branches my right hand on instinct reaches back to grab an arrow from a quiver I didn't know I had, drawing it on an unfamiliar bow that I somehow handle with ease. "Who goes there?" Whoa whoa whoa, hold up Shakespeare talk, we're not in old England, I can't travel back in--wait a second...did I really just...and then....what? Focus Clint, the clothes must just be a coincidence. You weren't really kidnapped and then pulled into a void, knocked out because of intense pain, and were woken up in the middle of a forest you've never seen before in your life. Yep, there has to be a totally reasonable explanation for this....wow....my life is seriously messed up. I open my eyes only to see a giant deer two feet in front of me. "Aaaaahhhhh?" It cocks its' antlered head and without a second glance bounds off into the thick undergrowth.

"Ok...nevermind, no other explanation. I'm really back in time in...a forest...in England I'd assume since I'm speaking English....I think..." Groaning I clutch my head, way too much thinking in one day, especially with my giant headache. Remember the preschool rule, if you get lost you stay where you are so your parents or a responsible adult can find you...but no one's looking for me, does that rule still apply? I mean, I am back in time, so that rule wasn't invented yet, that means I can go exploring!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!! Slinging my new bow over my shoulder I look up, trying to get a sense of direction from the sun but the thick branches make it too hard. Maybe if I go up higher I'll get a better look.

My dark blue eyes scan the tall pine trees until I find a suitable tree that will hold my weight. I walk backwards a few feet, crouch down, then take a running start and hop upwards to the lowest branch on the tree; the rough pine bark scraping my hands as I pull myself upright. Once I regain my balance I reach up for the next branch above me, then the branch after that, then the branch after that, up and up until the branches are too thin to hold me up. Leaning against the trunk of the sky-scraping I scan the landscape, seeing nothing but trees stretching on for miles and miles. No main path, no King's highway, no little village. Nothing. Well, guess I'm going bush-whacking, hope that's not illegal yet, cause I really don't want to go to old-timey jail. I glance up, seeing the sun slightly to my left and moving lower, indication that's West. "When in doubt, head North." I mutter my Dad's old saying under my breath and climb down the tree, once again cursing my stupidity for not grabbing my gloves as the sharp bark and pine needles leave my hands bloody and raw. "Nothing I can do about that now." I reason, and start off in a somewhat Northerly direction hoping for the best.

POV: Jack Frost

Darkness...that's the first thing I re--- Wait hold up, serious deja-vu moment, and who the heck turned out the lights?

"No one Jack."

'Then what the snowflake is going on?'

"Oh, you're in for quite the surprise Frost, wakey wakey."

My eyes shoot open and I sit up, gasping for air. Oh thank the moon it was just a dream, for a second there I really though I'd been sent back in time. Chuckling at my own ridiculous ideas I pick up my staff and stand up on the frozen pond, adjusting my cream long sleeve shirt and short brown cloak. Time to find the others. "Hey wind, I could use a ride into town!" I whoop with joy as the strong icy breeze carries me across the velvety night sky, dropping me in a wooden village of sorts with roaring bonfires every few houses. "Well this is strange..." Shrugging off my doubts I walk over to the nearest girl and flash her one of my charming smiles. "Excuse me, have you by chance seen--" The dreaded familiar feeling of emptiness spreads through my body as she walks right through me. "No no no no no, this cannot be happening again." I gasp as yet another child passes through me as though I have no physical form, like I'm just a "Winter spirit." I mutter, not that anyone hears me anyways. I can't go back to being a nobody. I don't think I can make it if this torture happens again. There has to be something I can do...something to send me back...I can't live like this...I...I'm not meant to be here again...I just...I can't--
