Gorgeous Nightmare

I sat there trying to figure out how I was gonna draw him, but not make it obvious, how the fuck was I suppose to do that?  I managed to just start sketching out some ideas and I already knew this was gonna take a lot of time. My mind was wrapped around Vic’s party tonight, he always has parties but I’ve never been to one of them but this year was different, since I started hanging out with Justine I started smoking weed, and drinking. Every weekend I was fucked up, and I always  had a good time with the toilet, throwing up and passing out in the bathroom. I swear my body wasn’t made for this lifestyle. But knowing Vic there was going to be alcohol and everyone was going to be there. I slowly found myself outlining a shadow and drawing the shape of Vic’s perfect dark brown eyes, perfect kissable lips and amazing God given hair. I decided that I was gonna change a few things about him, I was gonna make his hair shorter, and black; also give his eyes a hazel tint to them. I guess I wanted my drawing to be him, but not really look like him. I worked on my sketch long enough to get it part of the way finished, before the principle came on the  intercom talking about sport events that were going on this week, and which practices were cancelled for the day. I walked out the class room after I heard the words “you may be dismissed.” As the intercom shut off.

 I walked down the hall to grab the books I would need to get my homework done tonight and shoved them in my bag and closed the locker door then headed to my car. Walking down the hallway I heard a voice that sounded familiar, I stopped just in time to overhear the conversation that was taking place right around the corner from me “You’re coming to my boyfriend’s party tonight, right?” Is that…Haley? No, it couldn’t be...She doesn’t date anyone. Then I heard the other girl respond “Yeah, I wouldn’t miss it.” They started to laugh as they turned the corner and Haley nearly running into me. “Wanna watch where you’re going?” she hissed with an attitude. “Aw, sorry hales.” I said sarcastically. We’ve never liked each other; ever since we were kids she always felt the need to be better than me at almost everything. She scuffed and walked around me and headed for the front doors to the school. “You know, I couldn’t help to overhear your cute conversation with your friend, Haley.” I said smiling. She stopped and turned around and looked at me and walked my way again. “Don’t you have a life? Why are you listening in on my conversations, Evelynn? Are you mad that I actually have a relationship and you don’t?” She was such a snarky little bitch. “I don’t know what planet you live on, but when you hook up with someone, let alone 3 people later that night as well ISN’T a relationship Haley, Vic never asked you out, he never said “be my girlfriend” and I’m sure if he was dating you he would have told me. We are best friends, you know?” I said laughing at her stupidity. “You naïve little girl, come back to earth soon, we miss you.” I said sarcastically, laughing as I walked out the door. I heard her foot stomp and I just smiled; she would never beat me as long as she lived.

Once I got into my car i put my bag in the passenger seat to notice a CD sitting there with a sticky note attached to it. I grabbed it and  the note read: “Our EP, check it out and tell me what you think, beautiful. -Vic(;” I smiled at the note and put the CD in and turned it up. The whole way home I just listened to his voice as his lyrics touched my heart. This was insanely good. I pulled up to my house and turned the music down, turned the car off as I got out. I walked into my house and called out for my mom, she came out of the kitchen with a smile on her face and looking as beautiful as ever. I loved my mom, but she was always on my case. “How was school today sweetheart?” she asked giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek as she did every day. I put my bag on the floor as we sat down on the couch. “Good, I started a new project in art” I said biting my lip out of excitement. “Oh, that’s amazing can’t wait to see it. What’s the assignment this time?” she asked. I smiled as a glimpse of Vic flashed into my head. “I have to draw my deepest darkest secret” I said, now blushing.
