Arnica's expression flashed at me, her glammering visuals piercing mine. She struggled to wriggle from my grip on her, my paw tightly against her chest. The tips of my claws punctured her chest. It wasn't natural for me to let a stranger into my home. This was me.
"What are you doing? I told you the truth! I'm looking for someone!" My visuals flickered, a gush of wind fluffing my pelt.
"I know you're lying now. You told me you were fucking running from someone. Tell me the truth." I hissed out the mouthful of words as dribble leaked from my maw.
"Or I'll peel you like a potato." A whine erupted from her trauche. I suppose I was being harsh. So much pressure on someone at one time doesn't help. But eventually after giving up on getting out of my grip, she barked it out.
"It's both. I'm being followed, and I'm looking for someone. You don't understand." I clicked my jaw around in it's socket, keeping my cool as I stepped off of her. My eyelids hid my visuals for a brief moment.
"Hh.. fine. Who are you looking for? Where are you from in the first place? Start explaining." I huffed out my rotten breath.
"I'm from a world distant from this." She began explaining, ruffling her tail beside her pillars. "It goes by the name of, Elementum-Mundus. I came here, to Earth, to look for someone that can help me hide. I left Mundus, because I made enemies." I cut into her words.
"Hold on." I chuckled, shaking my skull back and forth, with a tilt. "I'm sorry, but this sounds ridiculous. But go ahead. I'm intrigued by this load of bullshit." My cocky, I-Don't-Give-A-Fuck side of me began to show. I thought it was pretty funny at the time. Until she became cross.
"Listen, you dog! I'm telling the god damn truth! The realm I'm from is called Aunah-Icis. Do you know why that is?" I paused, raising a brow at her. I lifted my front pillar, scratching under my jaw.
"You're born from a chemical market?" At this point in time, I started to get a little bored. But continued to pretend I gave a shit about this whole thing.
"No. It means water. I control the fucking element of water!" A flash of blue trickled in her eyes. Her banner began to slide smoothly along the perfectly cut grass blades, a small gust of water splashing the side of my cheek. An element wolf. Fucking lovely.
"Well, that's cool. I have tricks of my own. But I'll be sure to show you them another time." My shoulder blade raised beneath the skin, rubbing dry the side of my face. I didn't say anything else for a few seconds. The word 'Aunah' flashed in my mind. I can't have some sort of relation with Arnica, could I? I don't even recall knowing, or ever visiting a place called Elementum-Mundus.
"I just need help getting to a city. Then I'll be out of your fur. Please." I sighed heavily. Why me? I'd always need to do something for someone. Or, had been asked to. Most of the time, I'd beat them to a bloody pulp and leave them to die, or they would run off scared shitless. Either way. I let my mass fall apon the terrain, blades of grass flickering up into the air, floating back down, and some apon the waters' surface.
"I suppose I can help you. I have nothing to do, anyway." My visuals followed her gaze, straight back at mine.
"Thank you." She nodded, smiling brightly at me. Ew.
We headed back to my home, shuffling in through the door, pitter patters of light rain nesting apon the roof. I glared around the room, huffing. The wind outside of the enclosed windows whistled, as if they were calling apon something. I loved this kind of weather. Especially rain. It calmed my nerves.
"When do we leave?" Her voice came out in a hurry, her posture always perfect. With her head raised high. Though, mine wasn't as great, I still towered over her by a few. My posture was sloppy.
"Soon. I just need to get a few things done up here." I grinned at her with my labrums, blinking swiftly. Opening them revealed that they had turned a disturbing black, as they hissed out a swirl of purple mist that swallowed away any ounce of happiness, as it seemed. The gruesome slits on my sides slid open, black mist leaking from them, morphing into two large wolves, glowing ember eyes. Their structures were slim and boney. Just the way I liked it.
"I'd like one of you to stay here." They hissed out a mumble of words that only I could understand. Not even Arnica could translate the words coming from my maw. My eyes flickered back to their original colour, as I turned back to face Arnica, whom seemed to be shocked by the site she just endured.
"Well, that was.. yeah.." I chuckled, hearing my Sharncas' forms faded away into the air, invisible to curious eyes.
"They're here to keep an eye on things. And, no need to be surprised. I've grown bored of that damn reaction." I did like the reaction she gave off, but I've seen much more interesting ones.
"How's this?" Her jaw dropped low, the dark pink muscle flopping out from her mouth, releaving it's drool that laced her canines. Her eyes shook in her skull, as she rolled her shoulders sarcastically. "Holy shit cakes, spare my lovely soul!"
I just paused. It was ridiculous. Her attempt of being funny bought tears to my eyes.
"And you think I'm an idiot." I paused again, glaring her a blank expression. "Let's head out. Where are we headed?" She flicked the end of her banner, grinning at me.
"Bundaberg."
