The Rise of a Forgotten Village

Chapter 6

The bright light from the sun woke Konohamaru and the first thing he saw was Inori and Shika sitting together, stifling their laughter. "What did you do this time?" He asked in a hushed voice. Inori looked over her shoulder and her eyes were filled with tears from her restrained giggling. "We got our revenge on Okami for asking the same damn question a hundred times." Shika answered with her hand clamping her mouth shut to stay quiet. A sadistic smile was plastered on Konohamaru's face as he knew that the Inuzuka was about to be humiliated by Inori and Shika.

Everyone else was awoken by a high pitched scream that sounded like a little girl. They all looked at the source of the sound and they all irrupted into laughter at the sight, even the usually serious Shina and Ame was snickering. Okami was starring at his reflection in the river and his once brown hair was now the color of neon pink with pale blonde highlights. "W-who did this?!" Okami turned around and his face was painted with makeup. His face was completely white with bright red lipstick, hot pink blush, black eyeliner and eyelashes, shaped eyebrows, pink eye shadow, and a beauty mark on his left cheek.

"Looking real good, Okami!" Konohamaru smirked. "Yeah! Looking real good!" Isamu agreed in a fit of laughter. Shika couldn't say anything since she was on her knees as she was the ground while cackling, and Inori was laying on her back, laughing her head off. Okami glared at the two girls on the ground, pointed an accusing finger and snarled, "You two did this!"
Inori was able to speak and asked, "Why would we, innocent girls, do such a thing?"
Okami was about to retort when he noticed that his pants fell and revealed red boxers with little pink hearts. "Nice boxers!" Chozo heaved from his laughter. The pink haired teenager's face was glowing in a deep shade of red from embarrassment that not even the makeup could hide. "This is the worst day of my life." He muttered while he pulled up his pants and noticed that the belt was ripped.

"Isn't this the two hundredth time that Okami was embarrassed by Inori and Shika?" Isamu said with a amused smile. Inori finally stopped her fits of laughter as she was checking the jars of organs that were in her backpack. "Will the hospital except these organs? They're fresh and ready for transplants." She asked Ame, worriedly. The blue fox looked at the jars and nodded his head. "Yes. They have been needing organs for any patients who need new ones or replacements." Ame reassured. Inori's face had lightened up and made sure the jars were secure for traveling. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Shika cried out, walking towards the village, but a snarling Okami blocked her path and said in a low threatening voice, "We aren't going anywhere until you fix this."

Konohamaru groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. They have spent two hours taking the makeup off Okami's face and four hours to wash out the pink hair dye. Okami was glaring at the two girls the whole time and he still is. Luckily, they are able to continue their way to their new home and are able to arrive by tonight.

Inori and Shika were teasing Okami and Kiyomaru tried to comfort his embarrassed partner. Chozo was smiling at the his two teammates's antics and Isamu looked both sympathetic and amused at his teammate. Shina was walking quietly, behind everyone with a Karafuruna on her index finger; it was a butterfly that was completely black and had beautiful black wings with dark purple outlines in its lower wings. Konohamaru shuddered at the time when Shina got so mad that she put Okami and Inori in a coma for three months from using Karafuruna's poisonous powder on its wings, but it was funny how Okami got an allergic reaction from the poison when he was in a coma. His skin was a vibrant shade of red and he was bloated, Shika had taken a picture of him and put them all over the village. That was the one hundred ninetieth time that Inori and Shika has pranked him.

"Konohamaru?"

Konohamaru was pulled out of his train of thoughts as Miho walked beside him with concerned eyes. "You were spacing out."
He scratched the back of his head and laughed in a embarrassed manner. "Sorry. I was just remembering the last time Shina had one of her Karafuruna out." He laughed. The bubbly vixen leaped onto Konohamaru's shoulder and said, "Ame and I infiltrated the Leaf Village a few months ago and we found a file about a few members of the Aburame clan that had three insects hosting their body. I'm guessing one of them is Shina."
"What do you mean by a few members hosting three insects? I thought Shina was the only Aburame with three insects." Konohamaru was confused, Shina had said that she was the only one in history in her clan to have three types of insects. "I am." Shina murmured, walking next to them. "Ahh! Shina, when did you get here?!" Konohamaru and Miho cried out in surprise.

"I've been here since Miho started talking about me and my clan." She spoke quietly, "What else do you know about my clan?" The red vixen was in train of thoughts then said, "Your great-great grandmother had two insects, including the kikaichū. And your mother had three insects like you, but she died giving birth to you. The others are currently unknown because they have died at an early age. All I know is that they are all female, so this has only been occurring to the woman of the Aburame clan."
Shina was quiet then nodded in thanks and walked beside Chozo. Miho decided to join with Ame and talked like a hyperactive child that was fed tons of sugar. Konohamaru shivered as the feeling of being watched, but he didn't sense anyone near by.

Somewhere Else

The shadowed figure of a man looked into his crystal ball as the sight of the genin and his two summonings. A man with red hair stood beside him and asked, "Are you sure your ready? After all these years?"
"Yes. It's time that he learns the truth after all these years. It'll be even harder later on." He said as his eyes saddened with quilt. "Just be careful." The redhead warned. "I will."
