Ninth Chapter: Halloween Night

Months later, it was Halloween and Sophia was throwing the biggest party in the history. She is wealthy and her parents supported her idea of a loud halloween party. That's what most of the teenagers would do during halloween, get drunk, party hard, and make out. 

"Hey guys, I'm so glad you made it here tonight" Sophia greeted her friends with a smile on her face. 

"Yeah, thanks for the invitation" Paul answered. 

"That's no big deal" Sophia said and laughed. 

And later on, Joe approached them with a girl on his side. She was believed to be her newest girlfriend. 

"Hey guys, this is Taylor" Joe introduced her hot brunette girlfriend, wearing a black lingerie with a bunny ears on her head. 

"Hi" Taylor greeted them with a warm smile. 

They both smiled at her. 

"So, this is Taylor oh girl you need to be very careful with Joe" Sophia warned her while trying not to burst into laughter. 

"Huh? What do you mean?" Taylor is confused, unable to catch up with every words she is saying. 

"It's nothing, babe" Joe tried to evade

"Let me tell you something about Joe and were going to spent the whole night talking about how naughty he is" Sophia winked at Taylor and reached for her hands and they both walked away. 

"See, that is why I don't want to introduce my girls to you" Joe emphasized and Paul laughed at him. 

"You're situation is doomed" Paul teased him. 

"I'm not going to let that happen. Hey girls, wait up" he followed the two of them.

And Paul took a sip on his tequila with lemonade. 

"Hey" someone called him and he looked back. He smiled when realized it was Candice, he haven't seen her for the longest time now after the wake. 

"Hey Candice" Paul greeted her with a smile on his face. 

"So, how are you?" she asked 

"I'm fine, how about you?" he asked. 

"I feel better now, I made up my mind. After the graduation, I'm going to Paris" she answered with a smile. 

"You're leaving?" he asked her.

"Yeah, anyways I need to go back to my car. I left my purse" Candice stated and she left. 

She hurriedly went to her car and she reached for her purse. 

She saw Sophia on the other side of the road. 

"Candice!" she joyfully greeted her with a sweet smile.

Oh how she missed her, its been a while. 

Candice was so happy to see her, just as she was about to cross the road the masked person appeared behind her and cuts her throat which made her spill in blood. 

Sophia screamed in fear.

"Nooooooo!" Sophia pleaded and the masked person 

She ran away while crying, she can't believe it with her own eyes. Candice is dead, its all because of the masked person. 

She entered the woods, as she wanders around. She don't know where to go. She feels so lost. Then she saw Paul's car and just as she was about to approach it, she saw the mask inside his car. 

She was shocked, it was Paul all along. 

"Sophia? What are you doing here?" Paul asked her.

She picked a sharp object and threatened Paul

"Don’t you dare come closer" Sophia answered.

"What are you talking about?" Paul asked her out of confusion. 

"You killed them" Sophia answered and she was gasping for air. 

"What? No" he said. 

"It was you" Sophia cried. 

"What are you…?" Paul was interrupted when the real masked person appeared at his back and poke him with a rock he lose his consciousness

"No!" Sophia burst into tears and her knees were started to shiver.

"Hello, pretty Sophia" the masked person greeted.

"What do you want?" she asked while threatening the person with a sharp object. 

"To see your inside" and the masked person laughed hysterically. 

"W-what?" she was terrified 

The person was about to stab her when she ran away, trying to be brave. She needs to be strong. She slipped and she was now covered with mud. She continued to cry when she saw Joe lying on the ground with his flesh opened. 

As long as she wanted to stay, she can't because the masked person is after her. 

She hid behind a tree and she was trying to catch her breath. 

She looked back and saw the masked person. 

"Boo!" the masked person laughed and stabbed her which made her lose her consciousness.
