Chapter Three

Georgia had a metal bar in her hands and was smashing it at what looked like zombies! I stood, my mouth wide open for a few seconds. These things only happened in the bloody walking dead! Am I dreaming or something!

Whatever is happening, I still have to help Georgia.

I grabbed the nearest branch of metal off the floor and rushed in to help. Ethan followed my lead but stepped on Georgias phone in the rubble. Somehow it survived and Imagine dragons radioactive started blaring out. (listen to radioactive in the YouTube video at the start of the chapter)

(Georgias phone is invincible in real life. She drops and throws it everywhere and it hasn't even been cracked. Can't say the same thing for mine)

There was about 15 or so zombies shuffling around and all of them looked in our direction at the loud music.
"Sh*t." I mumbled as they all started to lumber towards us. Georgia took that time to impale on of the zombies in the back with her heels that she wore to school.

The zombies looked like they had just jumped out of a horror movie. They wore civilian clothes, but they were all torn and bloodied. Boils erupted pus all over their arms and the skin was a sick yellow colour. They all had different features and one even had an eyeball hanging on a thread from its eye socket.

The zombies ambled over quite fast. I could see no sign of intelligence in their eyes, just hunger and death. Behind me the music still blared out.

Waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust

I smacked a zombie with my bar of metal and it crumpled to the ground. Georgia was repeatedly smashing one of the zombies heads.

I'm breathing in the chemicals
I'm breaking in, shaping up and checking out on the prison bus.

Ethan tripped over a zombie and it tore a gash down its face. Brain and Ethan's blood splattered all over my shoes. Ethan touched his face but then just went back to fighting.

This is it, the apocalypse
Oh oh oh

Imagine Dragons have got that right. This is the apocalypse, I thought whilst splattering the last zombie on the school bus. The bus survivors stood behind us, gob smacked.

I'm waking up
I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my system blow.

I spotted about 5 zombies and they were rushing towards the survivors. It was chaos. To my left, a surviving man was jumped on by a zombie and it reached into his chest and pulled the man's heart out. I smashed the zombies head in but straight after, the dead man regenerated into a zombie. I smashed his head in too.

Zombies were ambling towards Stephenie . I pointed them out of Ethan, who went charging over, blood still pouring down his face.

Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Ooh oh oh ooh oh i'm

Stephen and Sophie had picked up their own bars of metal and were helping Ethan. Brave kids I thought. Sam and Dylan had just hidden inside the bus, what cowards!

RADIOACTIVE!!
RADIOACTIVE!!

I spotted some new zombies behind the old ones. The were shuffling towards us, attracted by the loud music. How the hell had all of this happened in a few minutes, I had no idea. I yelled,
"We have to go, there are too many of them. Get to the school!!"

I started running in the direction of the school. I was closely followed by the other 7 survivors, Georgia cracking the heels off her shoes so she could run. As we ran the zombies and the music got fainter and fainter.

We encountered no more zombies on the way to school. It seemed like the disease hadn't spread that fast. When we got to school, Georgia gasped at it.

Three balls of fire had wrecked the maths and science blocks whilst there was another one lodged in the six form block. No doubt that there was countless other damage that we couldn't see from the front of the school. Debris and metal hung from the building and the whole thing seemed to teeter on one side.

I spotted two teachers at the front of the building. They were looking for something, and when they saw us hobbling along they ran over. Mrs Kettles eyed filled with worry when she saw the state that we were in.

"Are you from one of the bus's?" she asked, checking us for any major injuries. She fussed a bit over the scratch on Ethans face but moved on quick. I think she has seen worse in the 30 mins everything has exploded out over.
"The 889," Georgia replied, wincing as the cut on her lip split open again. We must all look like Hell.
"Well you better come in then." she said almost hesitantly, all the worry gone from her voice as she turned around .

Well what do you think we are fucking going to do! Stand out here until undead sh*theads eat us!

Geez

We followed her into the main building.
