Maybe it was all in my imagination, maybe I was just going crazy, because there wasn't anything in the room except for me.

I took the advice of the book; it was my only choice, and I grasped the silver torch in my hand. I looked at the window, knowing it was locked. The only way out was the way I came in. I placed my ear against the door, listening for any movement. When I heard nothing but silence, I was indeed afraid, but I slowly opened the door. It creaked as it emerged into the dark hallway.

'That doesn't help, door." I whispered.

I quietly but quickly made my way down the spiraling hallway once again. I remember reading in the book that the only way out of the house was through the front entrance. You also needed the silver Torch to exit. Somewhere on the next couple pages it explained the monsters and everything about them, but I don't quite remember what it said.

I approached the stairs, I felt relief in my chest, but when I had neared the bottom, the front door wasn't there. All there had seemed to be was two doors; one on my right and one on my left. I decided to the take the right path; unfortunately that pun didn't work out into my favor.

Behind me I heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs. I quickly ran into the room; not closing the door behind me, and noticed that it was my old bedroom, where I had found the stuffed animals. I scanned the room, searching for a place to hide.

I hid under the bed and a hefty brown bear came trudging in. It searched the room; tore down the closet, destroy the toy chest. It had wrecked the other bed that was in there and the only thing left, was the bed I was under.
