I didnt know how I got home. Or who took me home. Or what happened to me.

That afternoon I woke up in my bed with a headache. My wrist was again covered, and my vision was blurry.

I tried to stand up, fumbling to search for support. My bedroom door swung open and a pair of hands came to my rescue.

"Jas," I couldnt tell who it was.. My eyes felt watery and the exhaustion came into me like a wrecking ball. "Are you okay?"

Was I okay? I nodded. Considering my situation, I shook my head no.

"I need you to lie down, dont move too much." I nodded again.

He lay me on my bed, tucking my feet off the ground he placed the back of his hands on my forehead. "Jesus! You've got fever!"

I nodded. Damn. What's with me and nodding today? I closed my eyes and felt the burning heat in my eyelids, I guess i'm badly exhausted. My wrists were no good too. And my body feels sticky.. and I hate feeling dirty. Really.

"Hey, um, drink this," he motioned a pill to me, I tried to sit up but failed. "Oh! right!" He said, placing the pill on the headboard and he assisted me to sit.

I grunted. Probably the first sound I made at the moment. He handed me the pill again and a glass of water, trying to be careful, and considering my handicapped wrist and me not feeling well, he stayed by my side till evening.

"What are you doing here, Jace?" Finally found my sight, I stared at his brown enigmatic eyes.

"I'm here to take care of you," he smiled. "Mrs. Brooks is my mom's bestfriend, said she'd be gone for a couple of days so she asked mom to check up on you. But mom's running the restau right now.. so she sent me here. She called right after 2, said some guy from our school dropped you off, which was Seth and didnt know what to do to a sick person.. does that explain everything, love?"

"I didnt get anything you said," I admitted. "Sorry."

There was amusement in his eyes, he chuckled, sending my girly heart palpitation.

"Great, do I have to repeat it to you?" I shook my head no.

"When will you leave?" As soon as the words escaped my lips I instantly regretted it. He looked at me as if he was hurt, his eyes was wide and his facial expression was almost comical.

"You want me to leave now?" he asked. "After I took care of you, love?"

"Well, yeah? Not to be rude but you're a guy." He looked at me as if I was an alien. "You're in my house. In my room. At 7 o' clock." I continued. Raising my brows.

"So what? I'm guessing i'll be staying here for a while." He said smirking.

Stay here for a while.. "WHAT?!"

He laughed at my response and shook his head.

"Ask your mom," he said. And so I did.
