Clove, Katniss, Foxface and Rue

Rue 2 (Chapter 7)

I sit down on the couch. I cry and cry and cry.

"It is okay" My mom says.

"No it's not!" I scream. "I'm going to die! how is that okay?"

"Rue-"

"This is a big huge bad thing! SO BAD! I hate it!" I scream at the top of my lungs.

"Rue there was nothing you could do to stop it"

"I know" I sob. "I'm just so mad. I want to scream."

"Rue you can win. make allies. Even with Thresh."

"Okay. I will try"

"Good"

"Bye."

"Bye. please come back Rue please" I nod. the peacekeepers come to get her. She leaves. My father comes in with my siblings.

"Rue. Will you die?" Catherine says. I start crying again. I scream. Loudly too.

"I'm sorry Rue it's just-"

"just what? MEAN! I HATE YOU!" I say.

"Rue, Rue calm down." My dad says. I slowly calm down.

"Now Rue she didn't mean it like that" he says.

"I know. I'm sorry Catherine." I say.

"Please win" Catherine says.

"I will-"

"Times up" the peacekeepers say.

"One more minute" I scream. "One more minute!" They drag my family away. I scream. I keep screaming and screaming.

"Please! Don't let me die! PLEASE! PLEASE!" I scream. "Please" no one says anything. I cry and cry. Later I get on a train. I wipe my tears and take a nice long shower. The water is warm here instead of cold. I pull on a simple red shirt and black running shorts. Plus some cool Yellow socks. After that I lay down on the bed. It is very fluffy and soft. So cozy. I want to fall asleep. I think of my family. I think of Kami and how she would act knowing I went into the hunger games and died. I think how my younger siblings would act when I did not come home. I think and think.

I wake up to pounding on my door.

"Time for dinner! come out. come out." I groan. I did not realize I fell asleep. I still feel tired and have trouble getting myself to the table.

"Sleepy?" A woman says. She looks at me Carefully.

"Hi I am Seeder. Your mentor Rue and this is Chaff. Thresh's Mentor." She says.

"Hi" I say.

"So Rue what is your talents?" Seeder asks.

"I can climb trees and jump from tree to tree. I can also use a bow and arrows. Sort of. I can throw knives but I'm not that good at it." I say.

"Awesome! Now Thresh what can you do?"

"I am very strong, I can also..." He trails off.

"Oh Let's work on other things. Rue? Plants? Knots? Fires? Anything else?"

"I know about plants, knots and fires. I don't know anything else I can tell you" I say.

"Okay. Thresh?"

"I can ummm.... Well i can... wait I can no ohh I can... Oh nothing. Nothing at all."

"you will need to work on that then" Chaff says.

"Okay" Thresh says. I finally eat the food. there is so much. I stuff myself over and over again. Soon I feel like throwing up. I do. An avox comes to clean up my mess. I walk away. In my room I fall Asleep. The next day I wake up. I yawn and get up. I pull on a blue shirt and shorts and simple black shoes. The train stops in front of a large building. We get off and go inside.
