“Hey Y/n Carl is upstairs in cell block B he’s watching Judith and knowing him he’s likely laying her on his bed while he plays with his comic book or whatever, Can you go check on them” Rick asked you.
You and rick were outside working on the farm and pulling weeds when he had brought that up. I guess rick had thought that you were tired or something maybe getting over heated but that simply wasn’t the case. (Sorry I know the prison is gone I had too)
You nodded “Sure, but do you want me to bring you water or somethin’ before I go”.
“No, just go make sure Judith is alive” he joked.
You chuckled and ran up the hill back to the prison.

You walked into Cell Block B and heard little cries from a baby girl. It echoed from the walls and to your head. You sighed thinking Carl was ignoring her. You walked up the steps and followed the loud tears echoing the whole room. You walked into Carl’s cell and found him holding her trying to calm her down.
“Hey” you calmly said.
He looked up almost in relief “She won’t stop”. He sounds exhausted.
You slowly walked to the bed and sat next to Carl and a teary Judith.
“Maybe she’s tired” you suggested.
“If she was tired than she wouldn’t be screaming onto of her lungs” He mentioned.
“Maybe she needs a little help” You giggled.
He broke a smile and looked at you “What’s that supposed to mean”.
You laughed softly to yourself at the thought a bright butterflies formed in your stomach.
“Sing to her” You finally said.
His cheeks turned to red and he smiled “What no way I don’t sing”.
“I’m not saying sing like Whitney, just a simple lullaby” You said.
He sucked in his lips trying to hide the laugh. He was being a little shy to sing in front of you. But you were about to sing when.
“Y/n can you help me with something” Mika called (I MISS HER SO MUCH).
You got up “Be right back”.
“Don’t leave me with this crying machine” he begged.
You smirked and walked out.

“Thanks Y/n” Mika thanked as you walked back to Carl’s cell.
“No, problem Mika” you responded.
You calmly walked back to Carl’s cell, there were no more loud tears and crying. You narrowed your eye brows when you heard a different noise. You walked into Carl’s cell and saw carl softly singing to Judith as she was drifting to sleep. His voice tickled your ears and made your heart flutter in a way.
“Looks like you listened to me” You smirked.
Judith finally fell asleep in Carl’s arms .
You walked over and wrapped Judith in your arms. Carl stood and faced you.
“Yeah, maybe I did” He smiled. But then his soft lips placed on yours.
