As I finished preparing for school, I called Jhay and asked if we were walking together to school. He said he'd pick me up. That's sweet. A guy is going to pick me up. I hope we catch attention at school. Jean said we looked like we were dating so maybe that means we look cute together. I love publicity, as long as it's a good one. I went down and grab my keys. As I was locking the door, I saw him walking towards my house. I met him by the sidewalk. He greeted me good morning and leaned forward.
"What are you doing?" As I pushed him away.
"You and Jean do that cheek-to-cheek thing right?"
"That's because she's a GIRL, asshole." I glared at him and started walking. I kind of regret not letting him kiss me though. But I already got a kiss for him, which is way better than a cheek-to-cheek. But I can't tell him that. That would be total suicide. I'd faint from embarrassment. And he'd think I took advantage of him, which I did. We walked to school while talking about random stuff. From gummy bears to earthworms. Jhay was pretty much a geek just like me. And I like changing topics so that it won't get boring. I don't like awkward silence between us and I like to know him better.
As we reached the school gates, I remembered about my "Slutbook". This was the first situation I wrote about. The plan was to act like I'm feeling dizzy so I could ask Jhay if I could hold on to him for support. That way, we get the impression of being a couple. I better act fast. I suddenly stopped and tried to grab on something. Jhay noticed I stopped and ask if I was alright.
"I'm feeling dizzy." Massaging my forehead. I was about to ask him if he could help me out but before I could, he already told me to grab on to his arm. Shit. Totally didn't expect that. But at least I still got to stick with my plan. Although I'm not sure if that counts as me flirting. As Jhay opened the door to the hallway, everyone looked at us. There was total silence. Too silent that your ear would hurt. All of the people turned into statues in just a split second. No one dared to move or even breath. We walked pass them but before we can get to the room, we bumped into Bill, who gave me a really nasty look.
"You slutty pedophile. Hooking up with a newcomer." He pinched me as he made that joke.
"He's just dizzy so I had to give him a hand." Jhay answered. Bill just stared. I think he didn't see that coming.
We went on and entered the room. That's the only time everyone went back to normal. I could hear them talking about me and Jhay. Mission successful. He helped me get to my seat before he left. Then Jean went running beside me.
"WTF! You are a total slut!" She shouted.
"What did I do?" Acting Innocent.
"I have sources you know." Showing text messages from 5 different girls telling her what happened just before I got in the room. "I knew you were dating! Why won't you tell me!? I'm your best friend!" She shook me like a doll.
"We are NOT dating." I told her. "He was just joking when you both went to my place. Remember when you asked him face to face?" Pouting my lips.
"Oooh. Yeah. Fine. But if you guys started going out, I should be the first one to know, swear?"
"Yeah. Swear."
It was lunch time. Jean and I went to the cafeteria. We looked for tables and we saw Jhay waving his hand up high. He was with Bill. I ordered a salad, burger and fries. We went to Jhay's table and Jean sat beside Bill so I sat beside Jhay. He ordered the same thing. Coincidence? Maybe.
"What a cute couple." Bill teased. I just glared at him.
"You ok now?" Jhay acting concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine." I took a big bite from my burger. As I chewed it down, I felt mayonnaise just above my lip. I was about to wipe it out with a napkin when Jhay wiped it clean with his thumb. I looked at him and blushed. Then I saw a flash. Bill took a picture of us.
