~Hyori's POV~
It's been a month and a half since I last talked to Jungkook. I suppose now that he has a better relationship with his girlfriend that he's gotten over talking with me..I'm not angry with him or anything though. I'm glad he's happy now. I suppose everything will just go back to normal soon enough.
Now it's time for me to get my life in order. Starting with Mark. I'm tired of being shy. I need to tell Mark how I feel.*RIIING*
The last bell of the day finally sounded and everyone in class began to pack up. As I was packing I looked up and saw Mark in class doing the same. I grew nervous thinking about what I should say to him. I took a deep breath and closed my backpack, throwing it over my right shoulder as I approached him.
"Hey Mark?" He looks up at me with a bright smile that makes me feel like I'm going pass out.
"Hey Hyori, what's up?" He asks.
"Um...I wanted to know if you..maybe want to get coffee with me? There's a cafe down the street that I really like and I thought..maybe we could go together.." I say and he chuckles.
"I MEAN! Not together in that way! Like we walk together to the cafe! I mea-"
"It's fine. I know what you meant." Mark laughs.
"You're so adorable." He chuckles picking up his bag and walking towards the door as I just stand there in awe.
*HE SAID IM ADORABLE!! ARGHXINALSJZJS!!!*
"Well you coming?" He asks looking back over his shoulder.
"Oh! Yeah!" I say scurrying towards him.
We both walked together out of school heading towards the café that's just down the street.
"I've noticed that you've stopped wearing your glasses." Mark says.
"Oh..yeah. I've been wearing my contacts more." I
"Oh, okay." He chuckles.
In a short time we made it to the cafe. It wasn't that busy surprisingly. Usually after school the cafe is packed with people.
We went up to the register where I ordered a double chocolate chip iced Frappuccino with a glazed doughnut and Mark got an iced Carmel latte with a cinnamon bun.
"I'll pay." I say about to open my purse and pull out out my wallet when Mark suddenly put his hand over mine, stopping me.
"It's okay I got it." He says with a smile.
"No, I invited you out. I should-"
"No I got it." Mark insisted, pulling out cash and paying.
"Thanks." I chuckle.
We get our order before sitting down in a both.
"Thanks again." I say with a smile.
"No problem." He says. It got a little quiet suddenly as I began to drink my coffee.
*Should I ask him now?* I thought to myself with anticipation.
"Is something on your mind?" Mark asks and I become a little surprised.
"No..I was just.."
"What is it?" He asks and I become extremely nervous.
"Well I..I was umm.."
"You can tell me." Mark says with a smile.
*What do I do?! Fine! I'll just ask!*
"Well..I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go out on a date with me, I mean a proper date, We could see a movie or..something.." I ramble nervously while staring down at my coffee.
"Hyori.." I hear Mark say before he suddenly lays his hand over mine. I look up at him with wide eyes and I see he amhas a sentimental expression.
*OH MY GOD! What is he gonna say?!*
"I'm sorry.." He says with a remorseful expression. I felt like my heart had dropped down to my feet at his words.
"You're a nice girl..but I have a girlfriend." He says.
"Oh.." I say.
"Besides, you're like a little sister to me. If I wasn't dating anyone and you were a bit more mature then maybe..but you're too adorable." He smiles ruffling my hair, completely oblivious to how much his words hurt me.
"You understand right?" He asks.
"O-Of course! It was silly of me to ask!" I force a smile.
"Sorry.." He says.
"No, it's fine.." I say with a barely audible giggle.
I pulled out my phone quickly texting my cousin to call me.
I take a sip of my coffee when my phone suddenly rings and I answer it quickly.
"Hello?" I say.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Mina asks over tithe phone.
"Oh! Crap I forgot!"
"What?" She says in confusion.
"I'll be right over!" I say before hanging up.
"Sorry I promised my cousin that I'd help her move after school. I have to go." I say standing and grabbing my things.
"Oh, alright." He says.
"Thanks again for the coffee." I say.
"No problem. See you later." He says with a smile before I leave.
After walking a few feet away I collapsed onto a bus stop bench and began crying heavily.
This didn't feel real at all..The way that it played out in my head was the complete opposite. It felt like my heart had been sliced with a machete. It was too painful..
