OMG Anna! Paris is so awesome! There's cafes on every street! And that giant metal tower thingy in the middle of the city, what's it called? The Town of Eyes? The Eye Tower?"

"The Eiffel Tower, you mean?"

"Yeah! That's it! it's so big and giant! And everyone sounds so fancy, with their French accents, and-" She stopped speaking abruptly as she realized Anna wasn't as excited as she was, only mumbling an occasional "yeah" or "mhmm".

The truth was, Anna hadn't been paying much attention to what her friend had been screeching about through the phone. All she was doing, and had been doing for the last 6 hours or so, was watching a Dan video in the darkness of her room. She was huddled in the warmth of her duvet like Dan and Phil sometimes did, munching on some snack or other.

She must have heard my absent-minded crunching through the phone, she thought, silently cursing herself.

"Anna," she heard her pursed lips and knew her hands were on her hips (a/n hey, that rhymes!) through the slightly windy line.

"Yes?"

"Are you even listening to me?"

"Of course I am!" Anna hoped she would believe her.

"Well about Paris, we're about to go to dinner at a place that has the finest Parisian cuisine! It's called La Lune- wait, are you eating?"

"...No," she mumbled with her mouth full. Then, deciding she couldn't get much ruder, decided to say "Ok you have fun at dinner." and managed to get out a "bye" through Skylar's barely-processed protests and ended the phone call.

Great! I thought she'd never hang up...

She checked her phone, which read one fifty-six.

One fifty-six?

She needed to keep herself on a normal sleep schedule, or else she wouldn't be able to get enough sleep to get ready for the next week's selfie. She needed to buy clothes and find makeup and look at comments and decide what the theme was going to be and use the new information from her new selfie to figure out what would get the most attention and color coordinate everything and-

She stopped, her mind panicking at the schedule she'd yet to even construct but was nevertheless there, waiting to be made and make everything she'd ever dreamed of a complete waste.

Calm down. She commanded herself to do, like the counselor she used to visit had told her to do whenever she felt extremely panicked, like she couldn't control anything and whatever she did didn't make a difference and-

Calm down. Now.

Take deep breaths and

Breathe in, breathe out.

Breathe in, breathe out.

Breathe in, breathe out.

Relax,

Relax.

Relax.

She decided to buy The Amazing Audiobook is Not on Fire and fell asleep to them joking in her ears about times she wish she'd known of when they were happening.

(a/n hey so this story is kinda slow right now, but the next chapter's gonna be big, promise. Just thought i'd give you a heads up. enjoy)
