OC NAME: cleora "cleo" verger
OC FACECLAIM: jade thirlwall
OC INFO: cleo is a very headstrong and impulsive girl. she feels like she's been robbed of a childhood and kind of takes it out on everyone around her. the girl has REAL anger issues. over the course of the story, she will soften up and be more caring and considerate.
LOVE INTEREST: anyone underappreciated (so no bellamy or murphy pls and thx)
TIME FRAME: season one to wherever you want
GENERAL PLOT: okay so basically cleo and her parent (you can choose if it's her mother or her father) don't really don't get along very well bc they were distant toward cleo as she was growing up. the parent is on the council and cleo doesn't really agree with any of the choices they make. she hears bad things at school about how the council murdered her classmates' parents, and it has an effect on her. because she has connections, she finds out the teens in the skybox are getting sent down to earth so she sneaks onto the dropship (mostly just to spite her parent).
THEME/MORAL: throughout the story, cleo is trying to break the mold her parent forced on her. she thinks what her parent is doing is wrong and that the ark shouldn't be killing people bc of small crimes. when she arrives on earth, she will side with bellamy because she acts like she doesn't care about anyone up on the ark. eventually though, she realizes that there are innocent people on the ark and begrudgingly helps the others establish contact. her parent comes down with arkadia (much to her dismay) and they still completely disagree on pretty much everything. over the course of the the story, she begins to realize how irrational she is being and her parent apologizes and admits that they are also wrong. so they reconcile toward the end (but if you wanted, you could kill the parent off before they have a chance to reconcile OR right as they're on good terms again).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: the theme song for this story is believer by imagine dragons. cleo only has one parent. the other one died of an unspecified sickness (you can specify if you want). if you choose to add a romantic interest, i would suggest someone that doesn't have a lot of fics for them. it would be especially cute if she was paired with someone who is a complete cinnamon roll and makes good choices (like monty or smthn). cleo, much like season one octavia, puts on a tough girl front. she acts like she can take care of herself and doesn't need anyone's help, but in reality, that's all it is. she has no knowledge how to survive on earth, but eventually learns.
