Freedom from fear poem

Society is like a snake

Staring at me with judgmental eyes

For I an like a tiny creature, crawling in the shadows of fear.

No one has ever accepted me

I am an outcast

A freak.

But the more I grow up the clearer my eyes get

The easier it is to see

The more I was able to break my shell

I am now free of that cloak of darkness

I have spread my wings

I no longer care for society's judgmental eyes

I'm finally myself, who I truly am

I took off my mask that shielded me from the world

I broke from my shell and I'm never going back.
