Ch.3 [Outside]

I sighed, okay...I've made my decision. That I think, I will soon regret.

I shakily walked towards the door that separated me from the outside.

I gulped and clicked the lock. I nervously turned the knob, fear started rising on the pit of my stomach.

This is it...

I opened the door and the blinding sunlight hit my face. When my eyes adjusted, I looked around.

Everyone was in panic. The houses started burning down, something exploded from a far, distant cries and screams can be heard.

People running, and something was chasing the them.

Then something happened...A girl tripped and fell down. She started screaming when ONE of THEM limply walked towards her.

When it reached her, it bend down and started biting her.

The sound of flesh being ripped off is making me insane.

Blood was flying everywhere as that monster chewed her. Some of them nearby started joining him.

When their finished, my eyes widen when the girl stood up.

Her white dress is covered with blood, parts of her body is bitten off and blood was pouring on her mouth.

Her eyes are piercing bloodshot red as her gaze roamed around.

She limply walked and then...she spotted me. She screeched as she started running towards me and my eyes widen.

That's when I realized she become one of them.

As she got closer, many of them looked towards our direction and started joining her.

I started running back towards my house and when I reached it, I opened the door and immediately closed it when I got in.

A strong force started banging in it and the door started creaking.

Only a matter of minutes can you take before it was torn from its hinges.

I started pulling the table and I blocked the door with it, I do the same with the cabinet.

Then I remembered the windows. I locked all the windows and boarded it with some woods, that I've found in the fireplace.

The banging still continues and that was when the door gave up. I started running upstairs not sparing a glance downstairs.

At the end of the hall, I saw the cracked wood in the middle part of the wall. That's it!

When I reached it, I started peeling it off and when I successfully done it, I saw the wooden ladder.

I started climbing up until I reached the trapdoor that leads in the attic.

I opened it up and climbed up. I pull the ladder up and that's when I heard the moans and screeches. They're here.

I closed the trapdoor and sat up at the dusty floor.

I looked around, so many dusty boxes and holes in the roof with sunlight streaming from it.

I walked around and I notice an opened box. I looked at it and saw a...gun? I picked it up and looked around.

Just then, I saw something shined from the dark and when I walked towards it, it was a katana. Wait what? We had a samurai? 0_0

I put the gun inside my bag and picked up the katana. Maybe dad brought this from China. I thought.

Dad...Is he okay? I hope his alright.
But...Mom isn't.

Tears started filling my vision but I wiped it out. I had to stay strong if I want to survive.

I looked around and saw the window. I walked towards it and looked outside.

If I jump, I will land in the back yard. I looked in the yard and saw that the coast is clear.

I sighed as I opened the window and jumped.

I land in the roof of the second floor. I gulped as I gripped my katana and prepared to jump. This is gonna hurt...!

I landed on my feet and started running towards the fence.

I climbed up and when I successfully jumped I started running on the deserted part of the street.

Spilled blood and other ripped flesh and organs littered the street and no human being can be seen roaming around.

This place looks like a ghost town...

I gasp for air. My legs are aching very much and I don't know where I was going but my legs are still running.

But then...I heard a screech, when I turned around...what a very bad idea.
