Take The Long Way Home *Zutara*

"Captain Zuko! I see land ahead." Zuko then sees an iceberg type land like his Uncle pointed out. It looks frozen and cold not the type of climate Zuko enjoys since he is a fire bender.

"Dock the ship but stay on the down low. We don't need these southern water tribe people knowing we are here. Stay disguised. We will take what we need at midnight."
 
The ship is docked on the other side of the southern tribe's village out of sight. Zuko and his crew are all dressed in variates of blue southern tribal clothing. They make their way down to the village acting as if they were lost, journeying to a small village to the north of the southern tribe. The crew splits up looking for spots to raid tonight. Zuko walks up to a girl with hair like chocolate. She is probably around 15 or so "Excuse me miss, is there any place in the market that sells fresh fish around here? My friends and I got lost on our way to a village. We a desperately hungry." Zuko comes up with a lie on the spot acting as normal as he can.

She turns around and at that moment their eyes met.

Her eyes are Sapphire and bigger than the moon. Zuko has never seen a girl as beautiful as her. He thought.

"Yeah, there is a small fish stand down to the right. You won't miss it. I'm Katara by the way." The blue eyed girl says.

"I'm Lee. Nice to meet you." Zuko lies.

"You too, well if you need anything just look for me. I'm usually somewhere out and about."
 
"Katara! Katara!" A tall guy around Zuko's age, 19, trots up.

Katara sighs "what Sokka?"

"Dad is looking for you, something about training." Sokka notices the stranger with the scar and looks from Katara to Zuko. Sokka whispers to Katara "who's this guy?"
 
"Sokka meet Lee. Lee meet Sokka. Lee is lost and looking for a stand the sells fresh fish." Katara states factly looking at Zuko. "Well, I gotta go off to train. Nice to meet you Lee. C'mon Sokka." She says while walking away.

  Wow. Zuko thought. She's absolutely beautifu- wait no Zuko stop. Don't start thinking about a stupid water tribe girl like that.
 
Zuko finds some of his crew members "Have you guys seen my Uncle anywhere?" They all nod and point into the direction of a tea shop. He rolls his eyes not surprised at where his Uncle is. Zuko strolls into the tea shop and spots his Uncle immediately. "I always know where you are when we come to these type of villages." Zuko chuckles startling Iroh.

"Ah yes, you want some jasmine tea ,Captain Zuko?" Iroh asks.

"No uncle, we need to focus on getting supplies and goods so we can leave tonight." Zuko states harshly.

"C'mon Zuko you need to calm yourself. Find the pleasure in traveling to different places." Iroh wisley says. Zuko isn't going to fight him on this so he sits quietly with a frown on his face waiting for his Uncle to finish.

  Katara is gazing around enjoying the busy life of the market when she hears a low voice "Excuse me miss, is there any place in the market that sells fresh fish around here? My friends and I got lost on our way to a village. We a desperately hungry."

She turns around is shocked when she sees a handsome man with a scar over his left eye "Yeah, there is a small dish stand down to the right. You won't miss it. I'm Katara by the way." She says.

"I'm Lee. Nice to meet you." Zuko lies.

"You too, well if you need anything just look for me. I'm usually somewhere around out."
 
  "Katara! Katara!" She looks back hearing her name seeing her brother run up to her.

"what Sokka?"
 
"Dad is looking for you something about training." She sighs.

She never gets time to herself it's always do this do that! She loves waterbending but she gets tired of doing the same old thing everyday. She wants adventure. To live. To be free.

"who's this guy?" Sokka says snapping her out of her thoughts. 

"Sokka meet Lee. Lee meet Sokka. Lee is lost and looking for a stand the sells fresh fish." Katara states factly looking at Zuko. "Well, I gotta go off to train. Nice to meet you Lee. C'mon Sokka." She says while walking away from the handsome stranger but katara can't help but feel a connection to him.
