Success

This topic was once shared by our pastor at our church and I wanted to share it with you guys. Before we start with this topic I request you to read Matthew 25: 14-29( the parable of the talents) for better understanding.

Faithful:
God call each and every one of us to be faithful. We must be faithful in God's eyes. We are all accountable to God! To achieve your desire or to be successful in your life you must be faithful.

Success:
What's your definition of success?
Success is the achievement of a goal. But what is your goal??
Is your goal temporary or eternal?

Most people often have this definition of success - to be recognized by the society/ to be like those celebrities, to achieve the awards from the society of from your boss, to be the most famous or richest person in the world. This is all just temporary!

What is that success in your life that is worth being success?
> success that is beyond the grave, when God say in heaven well done good and faithful servant.

To be a successful person you must have a goal. So your goals are:
>To get a reward even after you die.
>Put your time and energy in times that are worth thankful.

Now the questions arise. How can we achieve eternal success? We will look at some of the points below-

1. God
It all begins with God. You must put God always at the top of your list, trust him with all your heart and He will guide you to eternal success.

2. Calling of God.
Let's read Matthew 25:14 . For it will be like a man going on a journey ,who called his servants and entrusted them his property.

Ask yourself this questions "What is my calling?"
Do you know your calling? Or you're just following the crowd. If you don't want to follow the crowd keep believing in God.

God called you in different forms. You may think that calling is just going around your country or the world to preach and share His words. Calling is not just that, your calling can be just between two persons. God can call you to share His words with just one soul. God called you to be faithful in your works. Don't wait till you finish your studies. When God called you today, Go for it. Don't wait any longer, you'll miss the opportunity. Don't be scare what if God will send you to another place and you have to quit in between your studies. If that's the worth then do it. Which one is worth more eternal success or temporary success? God plan is perfect, He knows what you need.
Deuteronomy 31:8 It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

3. Ability
Matthew 25:25 To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability.

God knows you inside out. He knows your capabilities. He knows everything about you. God created you beautifully with unique character. Never compare yourself with others ,never look down on yourself when someone is doing something good or get promotion in their work. God is faithful and knows what you need, when and where. He plan everything according to your ability. You are unique!

4.Faithful and loyal
To be successful you must be faithful and loyal to your master. Just remain true to the one calling.

5. Courageous and taking risk
A successful man is fearless. You must be fearless for God is with you. In order to win the battle you must be ready in anytime and always be a courageous person wherever you are. So that people who look at you will be inspired by you. Be strong!

6. Working hard
"God help those who help themselves" this is a famous" is an old proverb which emphasizes the importance of self- initiative hard work.
You won't reach your goals tomorrow just by praying at night. You need to pray more and work hard.

Matthew 25:16 He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more.
So, when you work, never keep your works pending. I know this is one of the most difficult things to do. But as far as possible always try to complete your work one at a time.

7. Wisdom and wise
Throughout your journey your mind should be clean and shouldn't fill with wickedness. If you lack wisdom ask and it will be given to you.

7. Progressing
Once the seeds were planted in your life, you must nurtured yourself daily with the words of God, till you become like a tree rooted deep inside the ground. That stay strong and cannot be shaken by the storms. Keep on progressing on your calling until the day that God will say "well done good and faithful servant" and gives you an award for being faithful throughout your journey in this temporary world.

In this parable of talents the Master is referred as God and the servants as you and me. In this parable, there was a faithful and a wicked servant. God has given us talents according to our own abilities it depends on us how we use it, will we use it for his glory ? Will we use it to achieve eternal success?
The wicked and slothful servant will be cast into the darkness.
Matthew 25:30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Children of God use your talents wisely and strive for eternal success. Press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called you heavenward in Christ Jesus.
