Chapter 4 coming home

Brian’s P.O.V.

I don’t what it was about her, her hair was golden and shining like she was the sun. Yet no one paid any attention to her, I hated it she deserved to be orbited constantly by only the best suitors like the sun and they were only mediocre planets who have the fortune of just seeing her, her glorious beauty but no NO! She is ignored like a-a-a a scrappy dog left on the corner of the road.

*sigh*

Not like I’ll ever see her again, and I can’t even talk to her because I’ll come off like a player who doesn’t believe in soul mates

Because you don’t! Do you?

UGH! Internal voice this isn’t the time! Fox is coming.

Dancing with fox is weird even though it’s just for the mission it’s like flirting with your mom, Ew she’s just too close to home I mean even when we first meant I thought she was a guy, I had heard about the alliance leader and that he had a kid I automatically assumed it was a guy which is sexist but I was 5! The first time I met her I had heard the stories of old steel’s (her dad) kid who beat anyone up if they did almost anything, back then I was a skinny kid with a tough attitude who inside just wanted to read in peace, I saw her dressed in the baggiest clothes I had ever seen and a snap-back with her head down and hair tucked in I thought she was a guy but then she proved me wrong.

The dance was over and my sun was nowhere to be seen.

Why does it matter she’s going to DIE anyway.

Internal voice stop it! This has been happening more often I hope I’m not turning into old man steel.

“5 4 3 2 1”

I sucked in my breath this is it everyone is going to die BUT IT’S FOR A BETTER CAUSE DANG IT!

“blow.” The flame engulfed the dance floor and screams rung out.

“Noooo!”

“lizze where are you!”

“Martha darling! MARTHA its ok!”

They were terrible after 23 missions you think I could have gotten used to this but no it was awful but somehow fox doesn’t react at all. I always keep track of the worst this one was a dad calling out

“Jenna! Jenna come over here I love you. Now you get to spend your fifth birthday in heaven.”

Oh god the screams died down but not before one finally scream, it was horrible so haunting and beautiful at the same time. Oh god it had to be her jeez we have to go

“No” I heard it was her I checked her pulse.

Alive. She was alive.

I started freaking out and started screaming inside my head then she opened her eyes. Oh god I knew those eyes they were fox’s, but not I knew that they were identical but somehow they were softer, kinder and more beautiful. And her face the blonde hair flowing down to her shoulders and framing her face with doll lips, a button nose, and freckles trailing from her nose to forehead.

She was a masterpiece.

I picked her up and as we flew I brushed her hair out of her eyes and fixed her dress up a ruffled and faded white top and blue bottom soft and innocent like an angel. Of course fox complained the whole time but I just stared at the suns beauty. I don’t know what I was going to do.

But I knew that I wasn’t going to let anyone hurt her. Ever.

Nurse Whites P.O.V

I flipped through the last page in the doctor’s manual. I’m not sure what else I can do, I will eventually have to take over as the rebellions doctor sometime soon, considering my father’s decreasing health. I mean really, it’s 3021 and we still haven’t found the cure to cancer.

I hear a loud knock on the door and automatically straighten my posture and fix my hair. As I step away from the examination table and towards the door. I placed my hand firmly onto the door knob before pulling the steel door open.

I almost gasped as the sight. There was the head of the whole alliance and the second in command, standing there. Right in front of my very eyes. But it wasn’t just the two that caught my attention but the girl the boy was gently carrying in his arm. She was frail and weak from loss of blood but still beautiful. I only I had been born with her looks, then I could have married off and dug myself out of the hell hole.

“She was found after the explosion, and Brandon here just had to save her. I just think he has a eye for pretty ladies.” Fox mumbled the last part, but still intended for him to hear it.

Brandon shot her a glare before placing the girl on the examination table. I got to work. I’ll spare you the gory details. But the whole time Fox and Brandon we talking.

“What did you save her, she is worthless, just another follower of the government.”

“I don’t know fox, it was like she was….was..”

“She shouldn’t have survived the blast. She was too far from the safe zone.”

“Maybe there was a malfunction….You know, it didn’t go off or something;”

“Don’t be silly.”

It took me only minutes to pull up her information on the computer. Without bothering to look at it first I clicked print. And we all watched as it slowly rolled out of the 21st century printer. The things here were so old, we need new stuff.

I heard the familiar noise that told me my paper was done print and pulled it from the printer.

“So, what is it. What did she survive?” said fox eagerly

“Shut up, she can’t just tell by the test results!”

But the thing was, I could. She had nano genes in her blood, instant healing genes. That would explain why she didn’t die during the explosion. But there was more. She had the same DNA as fox. Which was weird considering how different their aesthetics were.

They would use her. To improve their science.

I crumpled up the paper and threw it in the bin.
