Chapter 1-Start Over

"What? Seriously, Cecilia? You are leaving already? "

"Yes. The faster I leave this place, the better it will be for me. You know that right? "

"Of course I do, but tomorrow? This is really sad... I will miss you so much. So will the others. You mean a lot to us. And we love you."

"Oh, Ofelia, don't make it harder to leave you guys. It's already hard enough."

"I know I'm sorry. I'm happy for you."

"You should be. And if I were you, I would move away as fast as I could. We have been through so much this past year, and I am not willing to take the risk to stay here and go through something like this again. I just wouldn't be able to handle it."

"You are right. We all need to start over and get a real life. Anyways, we are still on for tonight aren't we Cecilia? "

"Sure. It's going to be the best goodbye-party ever. We will arrange the details over the group chat with the others."

"Ok. I should go now. You have to pack remember? "

"Oh, yes I do. Bye I'll see you tonight."

"Bye Cecilia."

I'm home alone. My parents are not here. They're probably taking care of the details for my new house. I haven't seen it yet. They want me to be surprised. They gave me some hints though. They told me that it is as big as the house we live in right now. And this means that it is big. Really big. They know that I love huge windows that start from the ceiling and end up on the floor, so I suppose that there will be some windows like those. I can imagine it. I am picturing a house with two stories and white walls. Floor made from wood and simple but modern décor. Just not something too much. I think that I should get ready. I have no clue what to wear. But I have to look very chic. We are going to an expensive restaurant to celebrate. It is the proper thing for us to do. It feels like it will take a while for us to meet again. All in the same place. At the same time. And it feels right to me. We have to forget about everything that has happened to us and live a normal life. I've decided to wear a black dress and heels. Oh I love high heels but I am not used to wearing them. I just turned 18. I have two hours left until I go out.

"Cecilia? Are you home? "I can hear my dad coming upstairs.

"Yes, dad. I'm in my room."

"Your mum is going to be a little late. Are you going out tonight? "

"Yes I am. We are going to a restaurant and after that, I think that we are going to a bar or a club, I'm not sure yet. You know it's a last goodbye. "

"Great. I need you to come outside for a minute. I have a surprise for you."

"Oh, ok I'll be downstairs in a minute just let me get dressed because I don't have a lot of time and I don't want to be late."

"Ok just come downstairs as fast as you can."

I'm putting on my dress and my heels. I decided that I will wear an infinity-shaped necklace that Calvin gave me. Oh god, I miss him so much. Calvin is my ex boyfriend. He was my first boyfriend and since we broke up I haven't had another relationship. I loved him and I haven't felt something so strong for anyone else. We broke up because of everything that happened to me and the others last year. And we both decided that it was the best thing to do. He left the city and I don't know if he would come back for anything. Anyways, I'm heading downstairs. I have no clue what the surprise will be. Maybe a car or something. I don't know.

"I'm here dad. Show me."

"Open the front door and see for yourself!"

Oh my god, now I'm officially scared. I open the door and wow!

"Guys! What a surprise! Why did you came here I thought we would be meeting at the restaurant. "

Yes, Cecilia but we have a surprise for you and it definitely couldn't wait." Ofelia said to me.

"What surprise? You are scaring me!"

"Look behind you." I heard Christopher telling me with his deep and clear voice.

I turn slowly behind me and I cannot believe my eyes. This is impossible. This just cannot be happening.

"Calvin? What on earth is happening here? When did you come back? And why? Oh I've missed you more than you could ever imagine!" I run on him and hug him. I've missed curling in his warm body. I have missed his hugs. I still love him but I don't know if he still loves me. Maybe he has moved on. And I wouldn't be able to handle it if he has a new girlfriend. I have to stop hugging him. It is difficult though. But I stopped hugging him.

"Cecilia! I have missed you too. It's been a while since we last met."

"Yes." I say sadly.

"Calvin Jones and Cecilia Smith end this conversation right here. I would not be able to handle all of us start crying. Besides, no one is leaving tonight. We are all together after a long time. Almost all, but anyway. We need to have fun man!" David is shouting to us and laughing at the same time. He is the funny guy in this group. When he makes jokes, he tries not to get emotional and this is probably why he tries to be funny. We love him.

"We should probably go now. We don't want to lose our reservation." I said and everyone agreed. We all went in Christopher's car. We are going all together with one car.

"I wish Katherine was here too."

"We wish she was here too Ofelia..." Calvin said. I love the way he talks. His voice is so warm. We arrived at the restaurant and I can see a man in front of the door, wearing a black suit. He is probably waiting for us to take us to the table we have reserved. He is taking us inside. The number of our table is 10. We are heading there. But something is wrong.

"Guys what is going on did we lose our reservation? Who is this girl in our table?" I asked nervously. We can see a girl's back. A blond girl. Oh my god.

"Katherine? Jesus Christ what are you doing here?" Now we know who the girl sitting in our table is. Our best friend who now lives far away from here. Everyone hugs Katherine. We have missed her so much. But who arranged everything? I mean who told Calvin and Katherine to surprise us?

"Come on Katherine! Who arranged this? Calvin maybe you can tell us who did this! Please."

"Fine, Ofelia! You win. You all have to thank these two boys for bringing me and Kath here." Calvin said. And I'm shocked! David and Christopher are so cute. I adore them they are nice.

"Oh Chris, David we love you so much. You surprised us!" I said kindly.

"Cheers! To a new life. To start over! " Calvin made a toast.
