LAMENTATIONS OF A FOETUS

I was just fine minding my business, when the master said it was time
Someone just made a request, to make impact I won't decline

To live a short time in a vessel
Is a risk I must take;
To serve the master, is an honour
Meeting the earth people, a little price

The consequences, I never considered;
That the chosen vessel was not ready
If only I knew, the maker I would tell
Another vessel, should he prepare

Punish me you did; I burned from the inside,
Prematurely vacating the safety of your cover.
There I lay helpless, grasping life I would never have
Even the nurse couldn't save me
