"Ban... Why are there only two?" You heard Meliodas question.
"There weren't enough resources to make three..."
That piqued your interest as you got up and walked sternly over to where Ban and Meliodas were standing. You closed your eyes and pinched the bridge of your nose, clearly a bit angry.
"You only made two?" You snarled, giving Ban a hair-raising evil eye. Meliodas backed away, not intervening in the clear fight that was going to happen. You raised your fist to punch Ban, Ban already was closing his eyes before... Boop. All your excitement and exhilaration was gone, for you were too tired to do a lot of things, including scolding Ban. He sighed with relief and then laid down the mats by the fire, but not close enough to catch them on fire.
The makeshift mats were surprisingly comfortable, since Ban had the top layered with soft moss. He slept in one mat, while you and Meliodas slept in the other.
You were originally facing away from Meliodas, but sometime in the night, you turned around and got close to Meliodas because he was very warm. You were very cold. Meliodas was facing you, watching your peaceful, sleeping face. He then wrapped a warm arm around you, and you smiled whilst sleeping. The fire eventually withered away.

You awoke right before dawn, carefully removing Meliodas' arm from around your body. You got up and yawned, stretching out your numb limbs. You decided to take a morning run, to get out all of the sleep inside of you.
You started at the base of a hill, scanning your eyes over it to gauge how long it would take to run up it. You quickly glanced at it and estimated a few seconds. And then you began what you considered running, and what normal humans considering furious stomping at a pace too fast for human eyes to see. You bolted up the hill and then down it, stopping at the edge of a ravine. You examined your footsteps leading down, staring at how deep they were. You sighed, knowing that you still had to work on your stealth training, and ran back to the camp.
The sun was beginning to rise and it cast a warm, golden light upon the dew-covered grass, illuminating the bright blue flowers scattered over the meadow. You cracked your neck, feeling the holes the thorns made. You sighed and rubbed them a bit. They ached, for they were still very raw. You heard a low yawn emit from one of the mats, and you turned around to see Ban get up.
"Morning." He breathed out, rubbed his sleep-ridden eyes.
"Morning, bedhead." You smiled, staring at his spiky hair. It was a bit more spiky than usual. And just the teeniest bit messier, making it poof out. He growled at you and attempted the groom himself, but ended up making it even worse. You walked over to him and knelt down behind him, combing your fingers through his hair. You and Ban were talking about unintelligible things when Meliodas woke up, stretching out. He immediately noticed that you weren't there and spun his head around to see you and Ban happily conversing.
Meliodas stared at the scene with an unknown emotion. It was envy, yet it was acceptance. He didn't understand what was happening to him. He realized that you were happiest when you were talking to Ban, but you were most passionate about himself. He stared at you two with that solitary unyielding emotion and got up, making a scene to make you and Ban notice him.
"G'morning." Meliodas groaned, stretching a bit. He then got up and walked over to Ban's mat and sat besides him. You were still combing his hair with your fingers. "Morning, Cap'n." Ban said, yawning. You hissed at Ban because he was moving while you were still combing his hair.
"Goddamn, Ban, when did your hair become so soft?" You muttered as you were still perfecting it. Your steady glare at his silver locks sometimes sent shivers down Ban's back. He laughed and shrugged.
"When did your fingers become so rough?" He retorted, giving you a hearty laugh. You growled at him and hit the side of his head. He returned the growl with more spunk and you two gave each other death glares until Meliodas had to clear his throat so you two would stop. You rubbed the back of your neck awkwardly and Ban just gave Meliodas this monotone stare before watching the sun rise.
After you were satisfied with Ban's hair's results, Ban sent you and Meliodas into the nearby forest to collect berries and food. He suggested that you held Meliodas' hand but you retorted with. "If anything, he'd be holding mine!" Meliodas awkwardly blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. Ban then rolled his eyes and forcefully grabbed your wrist and held it out to Meliodas. Meliodas almost reluctantly took it.
"Buddy-system, kids! Come on, (Y/n)... If either of you get lost and die I'll kill you." Ban said with a motherly tone, holding your hands together. You rolled your eyes and nodded, fully aware of Ban's mother-like antics. "Besides, it seems as if your hands were made for each other!" Ban then winked at Meliodas and pushed you two into the forest.
You were carrying a cute little that you were surprised the men bought and shared. After Ban was out of sight, you immediately retracted your hand, as you noticed Meliodas was getting a grip on it. Meliodas sadly looked at you as you walked on without him. He sighed and followed.
"Who does Ban thinks that he is?!! Making Meliodas hold my hand... I'm not a mother! Besides... I'm not that close to Mel anyways..." You muttered while stomping on the undergrowth. The nickname stirred up a memory in Meliodas. He smiled, remembering how you used to call him that.
You suddenly emitted an extremely loud scream as the ground beneath your feet crumbled. It led to a huge ravine which you fell in, breaking your leg in the process. You nearly started to cry but you held it in.
"(Y/n)!" Meliodas shouted trying to reach you but failing. "Are you alright?"
"N-no." You sniffled, holding your leg. It hurt like heck, as there was a pounding feeling inside of it. Normally, a broken-leg was nothing compared to the injuries you had been through, but this time, after going so long without a serious injury, you were tender. Meliodas' voice slightly cracked as he heard you start to cry. "Hang on, I'm coming down!!" He shouted as he leapt down.
He landed near you and picked you up like you were a feather, and bridal-style. Your cheeks lightly reddened as you wiped a a fresh tear from your face. You felt weak. Immobilized. You then curled up in his arms nuzzling your face into the crook of his neck. He blushed at that action.
"We're getting out of here, don't worry..." He breathed softly, caressing your soft hair with his cheek. "But it might hurt a bit in the process." He then walked to a place where he could run up the wall. And he did that, but you started crying again when he landed.
"T-thanks." You stuttered, pressing your hands to your cheeks. Meliodas nodded, but didn't set you down.
"I'm not going to lose you because of some stupid piece of land." He growled, beginning to bolt back to camp. That was all part of his plan to make you hug him tighter. He missed your warmth, your feel, your everything. He was beginning to recall his memories, but he didn't know how to tell you. He his plan worked, and you hugged him even closer.
